Adventures In South JerseyAdventures In South Jersey

Whenever my wife and I are out and about in Atco, we have a craft beer adventure at Brotherton Brewing Company! We’ve been enjoying their beers since 2016 when they only had a production facility in Shamong. Their name is cleverly derived from the historically significant land they started on. Brotherton was the name of America’s first Indian reservation which was established in 1758 to promote peace between the Native Americans and the colonists. As the beers gained popularity they expanded to a new facility with a tap room in 2020. This is another historical location, built in 1924 and serving as the first firehouse in Atco. They did a great job with the renovations, it’s an impressive building! We like the Brotherton IPA, Pine Barrens Pilsner, and Swarthy Invader Stout. Our favorite beer is the 8.4% Jersey Devil IPA! There’s a bar inside with plenty of TVs and a spacious outdoor patio. They often have live music and food trucks. When we went in the summer the highlight of our adventure was the peach and strawberry hard seltzer slushies! If you’re looking for great beers with a touch of history, check out Brotherton Brewing Company! 🍺☸️🚒👹 #brotherton #atconj #jerseydevil #adventuresinsouthjersey

Another Sunday training day for Juno! We love this brewery! The beer is phenomenal and the people on the Brotherton team are just as good. We have an amazing time each time we visit. Thanks for having us! (And Juno says thanks for the water and head pats!)

Tried the brewery in the summer and thought it was ok. But with fall coming, and the new beers on the menu, I am thoroughly impressed. The Oktoberfest and the Pumpkin Cream Ale are exceptional. Well done Brotherton!

Spent a little time here on a hot Saturday. Had a refreshing Pine Barrens Pilsner, which did the trick! Brewery is in an old firehouse, so they have a tie-in with first responders. Little different than most breweries in that they have table service! Staff is friendly and work hard to get you the right beverage for your taste. We'll be back!

Went for my birthday. Can I just tell you how happy I was that reviews were saying it wasn't kid friendly? It's the whole reason we went and spent over $100. There were a couple tables of kids looking bored as hell and their parents powering through flights not even talking. Good. Kids don't belong at breweries in a state where they can't serve food, sorry. You're a bad parent and a bad member of society if you decide to force your kids to be bored while you drink all the while they take up a seat that a paying adult customer could be taking. Adults need safe spaces and their take on just focusing on being a good brewery is the way to go. Anyway, rant over. Good selection and I enjoyed the flights a lot. PS Want to have a good laugh? Sort by worst to best reviews to see the Karens complaining about it not being a kid friendly brewery or having to clean up after their kids... the entitlement is real.

Great selection of beers on tap. We were helped by Jay who was super passionate about brewing and very patient with finding the right beers for everyone in our party. We will be returning again soon!

Cool place with pretty good beer but not enough diverse choices. Tried Heaven and Hell, Jersey Blue, and Pine Barren Pilsner. Waitress was really nice and prompt with drinks. No food menu other than snacks but there was a food truck the Friday night we were there. A lot of take out options and a good amount of merchandise. Only thing I really didn't like was the "scan with your phone" menu. I hate technology and do as little with my phone as possible, I couldn't just scan it with my camera cause nothing came up to open. Worked fine on a friend's phone but it was annoying and a paper menu would have been my preference. Is dog friendly which is a big plus! Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

The beer selections were great. The music made it impossible to talk to anyone and made it hard to enjoy our group of friends. I’d go again if the music wasn’t so obnoxious.
