First, the positives: Cute property with lots of potential if the rooms were kept up. Good location, private cottages -- no sharing walls with your neighbors! Clean swimming pool with semi-private surrounding fence. Clean ice maker. Clean towels. Plenty of hot water. Family-friendly, with outdoor grilling and sitting area. Friendly staff. Now the negatives: The deadbolt didn't lock on my room, so I was offered a second room, and that deadbolt didn't lock either! In the corners of the bathroom, I found two webs with live spiders and their most recent kills. I found a hair in the refrigerator, and another hair in between the tightly-made bed sheets. The smoke detector / carbon monoxide detector was DISCONNECTED and DID NOT have a battery in it; I had to ask for one. There was not a single clothing hanger in the room on which I could hang my tops; nor were there any drawers in which I could place my clothes. Most of these things can be easily fixed with some bleach, antibacterial soap, a Swiffer, a fresh coat of paint, attention to detail, and care!!
Booked a room last minute yesterday. I loved the price, it was 6min from the beach, had a pool and pictures didnt look so bad. When we got there I was immediately disappointed! As soon as I opened the door to our room a strong stench of cigarettes hit me. Then further investigated, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, one of the outlets didn't work, ceiling fan didn't work. When I put the ac on THAT smelt even worse.Thankfully the weather wasn't too bad so we left the 1 window open,to then realize that the outside lights are on 24-7 and they are extremely bright. I absolutely will not be going back, and will make sure I tell everyone not to as well
Great stay! Only planned on staying one night but liked it so much we were there an extra night. Staff was super friendly and rooms are clean and well maintained. Will be back next time we're in Maine!
My first night was fine. The second I paid for a second night, they spent 6 hours doing mantaintence on my room. They could have moved me, but did not. I emailed about it, but no reply. Stay at your own risk.
We loved this little place. The rooms are exactly what you would expect, basic rooms. We needed somewhere to sleep on our 6 day adventure and this gem did just that. The owners/staff are just the sweetest. Rooms and cottage grounds were clean and very quiet. Location is great as well!
Daxa's a good lady most of the time, but during an extended stay, they kept asking me to change rooms for no reason. She was also a bit rude last I was there, so she's not a perfect host.
We stayed one night and enjoyed it. The bathroom and shower could use a good deep cleaning and rerouting but the shower was functional and the water got as hot as we wanted it. Room had a fridge and microwave which was nice. Bed was too firm for my liking but my husband enjoyed it. Heating system was a little overwhelmed but heated up through the night. Overall, we enjoyed it and would come back.
Went for a night. Was supposed to be two nights but lady lied in the price. Room smelled like mold. Ants all over the place. Had to throw food away. Mold in the bathtub. Very disappointed. Will never go back and I will tell everyone I know never to go there
What a quirky little joint this is!!â¦such a great find on a wet, cold October evening Filled with pinball machines, good music and more different beers than you could ever imagine and at a good price! Pinball games start at 25c which is an absolute
This place is the most unique, natural preserve I've ever had the honor of visiting in the United States. This has got to be your number one. Go to a nature spot to visit when you are in Maine. Provided so much information, I had never been to a bo
I wish I had more time to explore this beautiful beach ðï¸!! I had a frustrating day and I just sat and enjoyed my new ð book ð while looking at the view and listening to the waves. This expansive beach with views of the islands, coast and
One of my new favorite local trails. The wetlands are home to a variety of birds. There are also benches to enjoy some lovely views of the wetlands. Very peaceful.
The Saco food pantry provides people of Saco that need the food they provide to make their live less stressful. The local Shaws and Hannaford plus donations from local farmers and gardens are great appreciated. Any support you can provide be it yo
Price is right at $7, plenty of parking. The State Park officer at Reception incredibly helpful and hospitable. I enjoyed the trails and walk to tParking. Was even beautiful overcast and foggy. Even Got a thank you for visiting and a wave departing
Really lives up to it's name, food was freshly made yet ready exceptionally quick, a large order for 4 was ready in under 3 minutes. The food has a classic small town feel to it; I recommend going with the steamed dogs and a side of fries. For drinks
