Brooklyn's Down South - Southern restaurant (US) in Buda - 100 Main St, USA

It’s a very nice place right on the main road. Parking is not great but it was worth it. We went on a Friday night, it was busy evening. Our waitress was very nice and chimed in with my friend and I conversation it was great. Everything we got was great, caesar salad, red beans and rice, veggie tacos, blackened catfish It was all great and was brought out in a decent time. The fruit tart was a nice dessert at the end, not too sweet just enough. Definitely recommend this place, it’s a nice atmosphere and great food. The drinks I saw looked great as well!

Went in with really high hopes the pictures online looked scrumptious. Getting inside there was a 15min wait not at all a problem. Once seated our waiter took a while to get us water and to take our order. It was busy but I watched him accommodate everyone else first then us. Ordered my burger medium and got it well well done. The burger had no flavor it tasted just like meat. I heavily relied on the toppings for Flavor with not so much luck. Same thing with the chicken fried steak. And the bisque soup was not good. Overall my family and I felt we were not taken care of because of the way we were dressed we went out for errands and decided to stop and eat. We asked for refills and the waiter would do everything else till we started asking others for water. I don't think we will be returning.

I'm so full but thinking about this meal made my mouth water all over again. This place was superb. The food was piping hot, like, had to blow on it hot. Had the lobster bisque, meatloaf and ordered a cheesecake to go. All dishes were absolutely scrumptious. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes.

Wife and I are traveling to Austin and stopped for the evening in Buda, TX. We decided to try Brooklyn’s out for dinner. This place has a very nice atmosphere and were consistently busy the entire time we were there..which was no wonder since the food and service were awesome. Wife ordered the shrimp and grits while I had the blackened catfish with a side of spicy Brussel sprouts and red beans/ rice. Everything was so good, but the sprouts were especially nice. They were spicy, but just enough to make them interesting. Our waitress was very attentive, but not obnoxiously so. This was win for us.

My partner and I wanted to try somewhere new to eat in Buda. This place had great Google reviews and now I see why! The food was amazing, the eggs Benedict monthly special was great- my partner really liked the slow roasted pork and sweet potato latke. My eggs, biscuits and gravy , and crispy bacon were all fantastic as well. He got an Irish coffee, and I didn't really care for my vanilla chai martini, but it still was a great experience. Great atmosphere and service too. My new favorite spot!

Came here with my family and we all loved our dishes. I’d definitely come back for the chicken club and the fries. Rosalinda made great suggestions and was very patient and helpful. My mom and I will definitely be back for the drinks as well.

The food here is ok. Decent dinner style food, but stuff isn't always cooked the best. Some things are fine and taste great. And some things are undercooked or will drip a bowl of grease onto your plate. The portions are pretty decent. Servers are pretty good and decent atmosphere. If the kitchen got an overhaul so everything came out at a consistent quality level it could be much better.

I have stopped here 2 times to treat myself after work since I started working out of Buda. Never disappoints! First trip was great with the pork chop, but this time I tried the blackened snapper with Ponchartrain sauce, cheesy grits, and red beans and rice.....Wow. It was amazing (better than seafood restaurants) HIGHLY recommended in that combination. This place also has a good tap selection here too if you are a beer drinker, so totally a great night out 👌
