Absolutely loved it the views and the choices of food was amazing
Small but nicely curated (current) water front exhibit which highlights the history of the area and even specifically of the Empire Stores building the museum is housed in. The film was out of order the day we visited but the other interactive exhibits were creative and educational. I like how there are several points where features of the building itself are highlighted and how one of the stories centers around an incident in the building in the 1800s. Worth stopping by as you check out the Time Out Food Market and beautiful river views.
Omg! My brother lives in Brooklyn and brought me to this place. It was his and his wife's favorite place he said. Now, it's mine. Omg! Brooklyn Historical Society you have done well! This is such a wonderful place. Magical, even! I love it!!!!!!
Dumbo area in Brooklyn, New York City location. Nice place to visit and spend the day just walking, taking in the views of your surroundings and many places to visit plus places to eat at. You can visit pebbles beach and take in the views of passing boats or just sit on a bench and look over to the Manhattan skyscrapers. Visit the Jane's carousel, Gleason's Boxing GYM which is the oldest Boxing GYM in America. Just come for yourself and enjoy what Dumbo has to offer.
This recently restored building is the latest improvement, feels like the final piece of the rehabilitation of the Dumbo waterfront. High ceilings open layout, modern designs, with many artistic flourishes including a color changing metallic DUMBO sign (for the gram)and paintings hanging on brick walls throughout it's hallways. A great sightseeing destination, this entire corner of Brooklyn is great and worth the trip
It's a beautiful area to walk around and take pictures. The view is absolutely gorgeous and the stores are also quaint and lovely
I wish it was bigger, Dumbo is really great and calming, with lots of awesome views. If you enjoyed this place the Brooklyn Highs is also very amazing neighborhood to walk nearby.
The rooftop are is pretty cool. I think there is a cafe/bar up there but I could not figure out how to get in and neither had the time to.
You can take really nice Brooklyn bridge pics from up there.
This place has really clean public restrooms.
If you need a restroom and want to take a nice pic, you should stop by
