The room was perfect for our family of 4 on a short 3 day trip to the beach. The hotel is a very short walk to the beach but there are several sets of stairs to navigate to reach the water. The stairs were not an issue for us but I could see that being troublesome for someone that might be handicapped or have walking troubles.||The bed was great, pillows were perfect. The room was clean and housekeeping was very responsive when we requested a quick sweep of the floor after the sand followed us back from the ocean. The only thing I would say was a tiny problem for us was the lack of places to hang our beach towels. With the San Deigo humidity, it seemed like our towels never properly dried unless they were fully hung (not bunched). There are hooks in the room but maybe our towels were just too thick. We, thankfully, brought our own beach towels, as the hotel does not offer any pool or non-bathing towels.||Speaking of pool, the pool was great, it's shallow as well as 5' deep in the deep end. My 4 year old, who is a great swimmer, was able to navigate the entire pool safely (supervised). However, there are no towels provided in the pool area. Perhaps they have some at the front desk that can be provided upon request but we brought our own so never inquired. ||The hotel is within walking distances to several restaurants but is about 0.8 miles from the main Encinitas strip. There was a frigerator and microwave in the room which was great for when we purchased a pizza and large gallons of water. We never tasted the water from the faucet so cannot comment on that. ||While the booking website feels a little outdated, the hotel itself is not outdated. We had a lovely time and were thoroughly pleased when the front desk was kind enough to let us check out one hour later since it was our last day in San Diego and our flight wasnt until much later that day. ||We parked our car in the hotel lot and never had any issues.||After visiting 3 different big box stores in search of boogie boards, we ended up buying the boogie boards that the front desk sells and had a great time with them.||The hotel breakfast was "okay". There is no hot food other than instant oatmeal but there is cold cereal options, appels and pastries, no bagels or pancakes or waffles. They are strict on the 9am cut off time for breakfast. We always made it down there around 8:30am and while they were always great at refilling the milk or Orange Juice when requested, once the time was 9am, everything was closed up and breakfast was over. It is a small hotel so I imagine the breakfast hours are cutting into the housekeeping/front desk work so it makes sense that they need to adhere to specific hours, but just some advice to future travelers, make sure you make it to breakfast well in advance of the 9am cut off.||Lastly, I REALLY wanted to stay at a place that was literally beach front but it was very difficult to find something affordable for our short stay that also had a pool and complimentary breakfast. This hotel really checked all the boxes even though the walk to the beach was approximately 0.2 miles. The walk to the beach was always so lovely. All the homes we passed had fun decorations and we always found something new each time.

This hotel has gone downhill. It has become quite grimy with ground in dirt. The owners are cutting corners on maintenance. The upholstered chair in our room, the hall carpets all needed cleaning and the bathroom door had chipped paint and grime on it. The location is good, you can walk to Pannikin, Stone Steps beach, a mini market. The staff is very pleasant. To charge $250 on a Saturday night is definitely not worth it. I hope the owners read this and take the necessary steps to bring this hotel back to what it was, a very nice place with a local feel.

Really cute little beach hotel and great service. We made a last minute reservation and walked in about 5 minutes later to check in. The room was clean and ready to go immediately. Service was excellent the entire time. Breakfast is simple, pastries, cereal, fruit and coffee but it does the job. Parking is easy. Rooms open to an inner hallway not to the outside parking lot which is important in my opinion for safety. I am super picky about hotels but would 100% visit this one again. Definitely recommend! The only down side for some would be that there is no elevator so if you aren’t able to carry luggage up a staircase make sure to ask for a downstairs room.

We stayed for one night with our kids. Room was bigger than most hotels we’ve been to and the room was so clean! Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was super basic but my kids were happy with it. If you are looking for a clean, safe place to sleep in Encinitas, this is a great spot. We walked to a nearby coffee shop that was lovely as well.

Our stay at Brisa Pacific Hotel was a mixed experience. Although it's a small hotel, it was impressively clean and well-maintained.||We initially booked a room with double full beds, but the air conditioner was broken, making the room uncomfortably hot. We were moved to a room with a single king bed where the air conditioner worked fine. However, the air mattress provided for our kids deflated overnight, waking us up.||The breakfast was quite basic, offering only coffee, orange juice, muffins, three types of cereal, bananas, and apples. There were no hot options like waffles or eggs, which was disappointing.||Overall, while the cleanliness of Brisa Pacific Hotel was commendable, issues with the air conditioning, the deflating air mattress, and the limited breakfast options detracted from our stay.

I've stayed in this motel a half dozen times when it was the Econo Lodge. I was curious to find out what might have changed. This motel represents a good value, as long as you understand what it is and what it is not. The rooms are pretty basic, but very clean for a budget accommodation. The furnishings are definitely on the budget end. I enjoy that the floors are not carpet, as they stay cleaner. But there's a lot of hard surfaces so the rooms are echo-y. ||The rooms on the backside of the motel are relatively quiet. We had a room on the front side so you get noise from the parking lot, street and trains that run until about 9 pm. The AC did a good job of blocking most of that out.||The hallway carpets look cleaner than they ever have, but they are still in need of replacement. Our bathroom looked like it has been recently updated, but the shampoo/body wash dispenser was not being used. ||The most disappointing thing was the breakfast. The foods offered have been slimmed down to not much. For coffee there was only sweetened flavors of coffee mate available. There used to be plain creamers available. Also, the old "breakfast room" with a TV has now become storage. Breakfast is served in the lobby with few places to sit down and no TV. I was up two hours before my son, so I had no where to really spend some time with coffee and the news without waking him up. This one change alone is enough to push me to other motels in the area.||The staff was super friendly!

Exactly what we hoped for. Easy access, simple check in, friendly small old school hotel feel. Walking distance to the beach, windows open for that open ocean breeze at night. The rooms were clean and spacious. Friendly staff. We will be coming back!!

no frills, but clean, easy to access, and friendly front desk and housekeeping staff. perfect if the hotel is a mere bedroom to retire in before/after a day of playing in Encinitas. easy to use, quality coffee machine in room, too. tight parking lot, if you're towing.
