Bridgepointe Hotel and Marina - Hotel in New Bern - 101 Howell Rd, USA

I stayed here from 6/26 - 6/28. During my stay my Apple ear buds were stolen from my room. There was also another guest that had the iPod ear bud case taken and another guest had change taken from his room all the same day. I filled out a police report but had no help from the hotel management even though it was reported to the front desk. They never contacted me and when I asked for reimbursement the manager said I had no proof and made no effort to make amends. The rooms need updating and I would recommend going elsewhere. Most of the help was friendly and helpful unfortunately not so much with the management.

My wife and I stayed at the Bridgepointe Hotel and Marina for on night only on Memorial Day weekend. This was a last minute trip for us and we were happy to find a place to stay. The room we stayed in looked newly renovated. We had no issue with the furnishings or bedding. The bathroom was nice and appeared clean. The hotel is going through renovations but it did not interfere with our stay. We got a great price for the night we stayed and I don't think it would have been as nice if we had to pay the going rate for the night we stayed which was a Saturday night. The hotel is located very close to the downtown area so you can't beat the location.|The only cons we can say were that there was never any hot water in the shower at night or during the day. At best it was luke warm. The water from the sink was steaming hot though. The best breakfast was maybe the only other area lacking. The hot food consisted of eggs and very thin bacon, make your own mini waffles, and thats it. They did have cereal, yogurt, bananas, and muffins. The coffee was very weak and not very good. The breakfast sufficed but for the price to stay at this hotel, it should have been much better. There are much better options in the area but if you can get a room at a good discounted price, it should work for you.

Positive: Great view of the bay. Breakfast was great and most of the staff was friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable Negative: Toilet didn't work well. The desk clerks were friendly except the desk clerk on duty on Friday, July 12th. She complained about having to get up to check me out, refused to give me a check-out confirmation & brushed off complains about maintenance issues.

Positive: The inside of the hotel is dated, the carpet and furnishings are showing wear, but it was very clean and met our needs. The views were excellent. The breakfast was good. Negative: We were pleased with the hotel.

Positive: It is being remodeled and what they have worked on so far is nice. Staff very friendly and nice. The back area where you can walk near the water was nice. Even had a place you could picnic, fish or have to kids play in the water (small beach area). Negative: Our bathroom had not been updated yet. Was told that was coming. Had issue with drain flies but chalked it up to old bathroom.

Is a great location on the outskirts of New Bern. It's at a marina. It has a couple of piers. A pond that has so many turtles in it...great for kids. Price is just right. The bed was very comfortable. Oh.... Outback Steakhouse is right beside the hotel.

Positive: I've stayed here often and the location is just a short walk to downtown. Negative: The hotel is still slowly coming back from the hurricane. The one thing that should be remedied is the pool. The location is in direct sun until late afternoon. It would be a lot more inviting if there was some umbrellas or other cover.

Room and view were great. Check in desk staff were polite and accommodating. When I checked out, the desk clerk was unfriendly and complained about having to get up to help me and was argumentative. She didn't represent the motel, which was otherwise excellent, very well.
