This bridge let's you capture some amazing views! I'm not a huge fan of heights, so it was a quick walk to snap pics and get back off.
Visitors: there is NOT a pedestrian lane or sidewalk. You are walking on the bridge with cars going both ways, plan your visit in the very early morning to avoid excess traffic.
Bonkers! You can (and should!) walk across the bridge as a pedestrian. Don't worry, "the cars are good about going around you" and the mesh metal is trippy. NOT for those scared of heights. Beautiful views.
If you're staying in Portland, this is a perfect small day trip up the Columbia River Valley. Stop at Multnomah Falls on the way up then keep on your way to the bridge. There's a parking lot right next to the bridge exit you can park in to take some pictures before heading up and over the bridge into Washington state then back to Portland with a great hour long scenic drive just like the way up.
Nice little town center of town by the post office they have a public bathroom for everybody to be able to use they host fun runs from time to time the Indians sell fresh salmon and fresh fruit they have a couple little coffee shops but the best one I found while I was in that town was a little Shell station. They have several little motels and hotels along the way even on the outskirts of town the Pacific Crest trail cuts right through their town at one of the public restrooms actually has a shower for hikers to be able to use as they do they're hiking down the Pacific Crest trail again it's right next to the post.
A cool old steel bridge where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses the Columbia River from Oregon into Washington. Be aware of pedestrians on the bridge. The toll is $3 for cars, and can be payed in cash or by credit/debt. Excellent views up and down the river gorge while crossing, but it's an active roadway so you can't exactly stop and get out of your car in the middle.
So many fond memories here. Was sad the sign on the Washington side was no longer up. It was a chilly but beauful walk across the bridge. Only toll bridge along Columbia river.
Nice looking bridge with a significant history! There are different viewpoints around the area to look at the bridge from a different point of view! There's a toll if you cross the bridge by car and it looks pretty narrow if you're going to cross as a pedestrian. Overall a nice site to see on a beautiful weather!
We ran across the bridge as part of the annual Bridge of the Gods Half Marathon. The Pacific Crest Trail crosses from Oregon to Washington at this point. The nearby trails, bridge, and town are worth a visit.
Another beautiful waterfall along the gorge. Almost start to take them for granted, NOT! Very accessible, easy couple minute walk from the parking lot.
Great spot to check out. Definitely better flow in the rainy season. Easy to get to from the parking lot. There is a bathroom at the parking area.
Please don't forget to pick up trash if you see it and make sure to throw yours away. Don't littler. Pr
Make sure you have booked one-hour timed slots online for 2$. You are allowed to book up-to two slots per day. I would start early as this can get crowded easily. The hike uphill is pretty steep and not for everyone. But the views are worth it. The m

We stopped in to Thunder Island Brewing for lunch after touring some of the beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails nearby. We were met with friendly service and a beautiful view of the mountains. I enjoyed a flight while my companions each had a pint
