I've been renting a unit for the winter (Oct-May) and I thought it was going to be nice and quiet since it's off season. I was wrong, I keep getting different people next to me that come to party and are loud and annoying. Some check in at midnight and aren't quiet while coming in, some stay up watching loud movies until 2am, I can hear people's conversations, and I've heard plenty of loud sex. I use earplugs on weekends, but during the week I wake up for work at 5am so I can't use earplugs or I won't hear my alarm. These walls are ridiculously thin!! When people aren't here it's nice. It has an amazing view of the lake and mountains. There are only 3 washers and dryers for the whole building and for months only 2 were working. I think they finally fixed it. This is basically a hotel and idk how the people who live here full time can stand it.
Let's be honest about what this place is... it's an old motel where every two adjoining motel rooms have been converted into a "condo." The in-wall heaters barely keep the room warm in the winter, the "kitchen" is a stretch by any length of the imagination and the amenities are run down but left in place to be able to claim that there are fitness facilities, a business center, and recreation room. Don't bother, find another place to stay.
My son is renting a place there for the winter. Very nice clean living area. Has Alot to offer!! Shiloh has been a great help and very caring friendly and understanding. Highly recommend.
We returned to Cedar Lodge for a vacation after being here 17 years earlier. I was a little concerned since this was an older property even 17 years ago. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the refurbishments inside and out. We booked our two bedroom and kitchen/living room combination with Wendy. She was extremely nice over the telephone and even nicer in person. She is very friendly and helpful with suggestions on places to eat. She really tried to take care of us. The HOA has a valuable person in her representing the lodge. Anyway, the condo was nicely decorated, the views from the balcony on the third floor we absolutely fantastic. We were able to watch several sunrises over the mountains and lake. The only regret I have is not having enough time to just spend a day at the condo enjoying the ping pong, reading room, exercise equipment, etc. I would highly recommend staying here with a family or just a couple. The furnishings are very comfortable and gives you a feeling of home. We will return and hope Wendy is still there!
We recently stayed for a week at Cedar Lodge. What a nice visit and the manager, Wendy, was so nice.|She told us about all the good nearby restaurants and cool things to do. Weather was nice, the suite was nice and the view from the balcony (overlooking lake Winnipesaukee) was unbelievable. The lodge itself is not new but everything in our suite worked fine and the kitchen was especially nice, with full size fridge and stove. We never had a concern for security as everyone we met was very friendly, parking was ample and the facility overall was well kept.We booked through an agent and got a great deal as the off season rates are very reasonable. The beach and dock are within walking distance (approx. 1 mile), and there are plenty of cool things to do in the surrounding area. Overall we could not have hoped for a better week and look forward to returning in 2018.
Clearly there is new management, and it's not a good change. We have stayed here many times in the past, and had a great experience. Not this time. The code emailed to us to get in the front door was wrong. We couldn't get in touch with anyone to get the right one. We had to wait until someone was leaving, while we were standing there with all our bags and 4 kids.
We booked a room with two beds and a pull out sofa. The pull out sofa had no bedding. Every other time we've stayed there has been a blanket and extra sheet in the closet - not this time. The pool was disgusting. It was so cloudy you couldn't see past the second stair.
While the place has always been a bit dated, the previous customer service made up for that. Now you're on your own if you have an issue. We will not be staying here again. Plenty of other better places in the Laconia/Meredith area.
This is a resort condominium where each unit is individually owned, furnished, updated, etc. As a result all units differ with some nicely updated and others a little tired. We stayed in unit 407, top floor. The lake and mountain views are spectacular and you'll never forget the sunrises. Unit was recently updated and in great condition. Staff was warm and welcoming and available during business hours. You almost feel like you are flying over Lake Winnipesaukee and the mountains from this unit. Would definitely stay in Unit 407 again and recommend to others
Our stay was amazing. The view is absolutely beautiful! The room was so homey feeling with comfortable beds. Management was very nice. Top it all off, It's in a great convenient location for a reasonable price. We will be staying here again.
A super a nice cafe, with all youâd want from one - great coffee, delicious homemade pastries, good food, and plenty of space to sit and work. Would absolutely come back!
Been visiting Defiant for the beer and record selection for about 1 year. What I found is genuine friendly staff and patrons. All of us enjoying a pint and some social interaction. Record selection is reasonably priced and good quality.
Do not hesita
Had a great week here on the lake! Great host. Patrick helped us out when we were in a tight spot. Thank you again Patrick! Such a relaxing place to hang out on the beach to swim an watch all the boats go by. Amazing views from every room!! Our kids
I love it here! So many options to make crafts, even if you arenât âcraftyâ (and trust me, Iâm not). Use the pottery wheel, blow glass, paint a canvas- all on your own OR in an organized group setting. This is my favorite way because you get
