After spending the past few months at Brickshire, I can confidently express my appreciation for the delightful atmosphere. The tree-lined boulevards add to the charm, and the friendly neighbors make it an inviting and quaint place to call home. Brickshire is nationally recognized for its significant investments and commitments to the property, and this dedication truly shines through. In my experience, no other place compares to the welcoming environment created by the Edward Rose Team.

I have been waiting to speak with the regional manager for almost a year now in regards to numerous of issues that I have experienced living here since the day I’ve signed my lease but I have yet to hear from someone. I recommended no one to live here. Their are way too many problems to be dealing with vs the price you pay monthly to live here it’s too expensive & unsafe living conditions on the daily basis. It’s always a problem with the plumbing my toilets overflow or don’t work properly, the sinks are always leaking & my neighbor above me is noisy asl all the time it sounds like a damn zoo above my head like somebody is going to fall through the floor all throughout the day. I wish I knew all of this before I moved here because who wants to live like this……

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I have been here almost two years. The first year we were on the second floor with zero issues. Moved to the ground floor and it’s been issue after issue. Tub faucet issues that took months to fix, holes cut in the wall with pipes, nails and stuff visible that my kids could touch. Floor bubbling from a water break that flooded the whole ground level, gas leak in furnace, washer and dryer don’t work right. Fridge doesn’t work right. They said for 3 months now they were changing the sprinklers so they cut huge holes in our wall that has been exposed not fixed for that amount of time. I had sent out a email months ago about smelling a musty smell in the hallway and my apartment. My email was ignored. My kids and I have been severely sick non stop for months. Dr. After Dr. With RSV, upper respitory issues, and much more severity to it And they think the cause is mold here. Our toilet tanks have mold in them and the bowl develops mold every other day. That is a sign there is a mold issues which would make sense if the mold in the tub and bubbling of the floor. Marijuana has been a huge issue as well. The office lacks in helping their residents. They do not fix things in a Timely manner and brush it off as not urgent. Also, bugs and spiders are a huge issue here. I cannot wait till my lease up to move. Whatever you do. Do not move here

Spiders galore!! I currently live here in a ground floor apartment. You can hear everything and I mean everything! Someone in the hallways sounds like they are in your kitchen. There is absolutely no insulation. The only reason I renewed my lease is I broke my foot and cannot move at this time. They require a 60 day notice to decide whether or not you will stay. They did not upload the lease options until the day I would have had to give notice. There was no time to decide whether or not I wanted to move based on price or anything until the absolute last day. I called the office and was told all other charges were the same. They were not! Emily is now the property manager and nothing gets done. No one in the office knows anything. My friend moved here and at the time they gave you $500 off your rent. She did not see where to put my name initially. Before signing her lease we asked if I would still get the money. We were assured by the agent at that time that I would, she just had to send a message to Emily and let her know. No one ever got back to me. It wasn’t until I saw the rent statement that I realized they didn’t take the money off. I was assured multiple times it would be handled. The ultimate decision came to not give me the money off by corporate. Mind you I had been here for a year at the time and had multiple complaints readying my upstairs neighbors (who they eventually put out due to the amount of noise amongst other things). The least they could have done was honored what the agent promised me. Not only was she fired but now you only get $200 off for a rent referral. This change happens right after my situation. They do bad business. The apartments look nice on the inside but that’s about it. The rent increased over $150 not including wifi or utilities. Their wifi goes out so easily. They outsource their own company. It is very fickle with any weather other than bright and sunny. This place is horrible and they should be ashamed of themselves for how they are gouging the residents. All of this money and they still have basic standard white refrigerators. None of the appliances are updated. There are no security locks on the outside doors even though we live close to the jail. We received an email once stating there was an inmate on the loose and to be careful. Still, no locks on the outside doors, not even a combination. There have been police out here many nights, at least 5-7 cars and we never get an update as to what is going on. I’ve called and emails corporate several times with no response. Poor poor service.

This place is HORRIBLE. Whatever you do, DO NOT move here. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE ZERO STARS I WOULD. Back in May 2022 my husband and I decided to go on an apartment tour and we came to an agreement that we liked Brickshire. Fast forward to about 3 weeks before we had to move in. We called the office so that we could look at the apartment before we moved in, but when we did call they would say that the people are still living there and that their lease wouldn’t be up until 2 weeks before our move in day. They also said that they had to put new carpet and flooring down. I was so ANGRY because everybody should have the opportunity to look at their apartment first. Fast forward to our move in day, we wanted to move in the morning, they said 3pm, then they called my husband and changed it to 4pm because the people was still putting new flooring down. That made me even more ANGRY because you’re inconveniencing me and I’m moving from a different state. Why post on your website that the apartment is available on that day but we can’t move in until 3pm? I am a morning person I like to get stuff done. Fast forward to January 2023 all I did was put popcorn in the microwave, and when it was done I started to smell a plastic burning smell, so I look in the microwave and guess what I see? I see a part of the inside of the microwave and it’s melted. Mind you we moved in September 2022, so I didn’t understand why we even had an issue with the microwave. They gave us a new microwave Thank God. In March 2023 the fire alarms went off and it was going off for a long time. I step outside my apartment and my neighbors sprinklers across the hallway from us is going off. That caused water to be in front of my apartment. Thank God the water didn’t get too far into our apartment. Ever since that day happened the hallway carpet has been smelling like WET DOG. Another thing that makes me ANGRY is that if my 1 year lease wasn’t up until September. Why do you all want to know in July if we were going to renew our lease or not? How can someone find another place so soon. Why not ask us in August? That doesn’t make any sense. We did not have a choice but to renew our lease. Another issue I’m having as of now are flies coming in through the window, because the screen won’t properly latch. Mind you I never mess with the screen. If something is wrong with the screen then I don’t understand how flies could get in our apartment if the window is closed. Sounds like the window isn’t sealed properly. I also seen that there are flies coming in through a small crack in our patio door. Even though I put in a maintenance request and had to wait the entire day and maintenance still hasn’t come. I had to kill around 12 flies yesterday, and today I killed around 10. The large number of flies most likely are due to people having their dogs poop outside the back door instead of walking to the field, and of course they don’t pick up their dog poop. I can’t even sit on my patio without smelling dog poop!!! That is disgusting and unsanitary. The neighborhood can be quiet “sometimes”, but most of the time you’ll hear cars racing down the street. Kids play in the middle of the parking lot, because Brickshire rather have a dog park instead of a park for the kids. It’s dangerous for them to be playing in the middle of the parking lot. All I hear is kids running up and down the hallway and stairs. If I am in my room or bathroom I shouldn’t hear people in the hallway. We will eventually break our lease, because this place is horrible. They charge too much rent for the bad experiences we have been going through.

DO NOT MOVE HERE ! This place looks good on the outside but realistically it’s not. We moved here in April 2023 and it’s been nothing but problems since! They were very good on getting us to choose this place pointing out all the good things about the place like how it would be a great place to raise our son , the pool, how quiet it is, the dog park and how it was “move in ready” but it wasn’t! First off the carpet was not clean before we moved in and we have an infant who’s crawling around. We were so disgusted we tried to shampoo the carpet ourselves but there was so much dirt and dog hair coming out the carpet it barely looked like we did anything. Not to mention every time I vacuum I’m picking up dog hair and sunflower seeds (we DO NOT have a pet nor do we eat sunflower seeds). Also since we moved in we informed them about how the bathroom tub was chipping paint and causing a reaction on our son’s skin. They said they would call a contractor to come fix the tub ….. They never did …. It took them about a month and a half to “fix” the issue and their solution was to spray paint the tub which left a white cast ALL over the bathroom and our personal belongings and the tub ended up chipping two weeks later. We immediately called them to inform them that the tub was chipping again, and we have not heard from them since… we’ve been living here for 5 months now.. Anytime you call maintenance to do anything it always them FOREVER to come even when they tell you, they will be out the same day they never are.. Now onto our newest issue… We have recently Discovered that there are fleas in our apartment!! Now, as I mentioned, we do not have any pets! I’m not sure if they were here when we moved in and just multiplied as the months went on because it is a very big issue now or if somebody else in the The building has fleas and they are traveling. Nonetheless, we did not bring them, but they are a big issue for us.!! When I vacuum, there are little fleas inside of my vacuum cleaner, and I always have to take the trash to the compactor so they don’t jump out of the trashcan. We get bit up constantly around our ankles and just everywhere on our body no matter how much I clean they still manage to find their way in our bed and on our clothes. It’s gotten to the point where my son can’t even crawl on the ground without a flea, just hanging out on him. We informed the office about the situation on October 2 it’s been a week now and they still have not even sent anybody to come check the situation we have to keep calling them on updates, and they keep telling us they will call pest control but they’re not informing us when that will be or how long it will take for them to do that… at this point, it’s been nothing but a headache living here and we cannot wait until our lease is up in March! We pay way too much for rent to constantly have problems!

I have been here for 3yrs. It started out ok, then as time goes on, all downhill. I agree with a lot of reviews, the overpriced rent, having to pay ALL UTILITIES, outdated appliances, cannot have your own internet provider, kids from other buildings play in our building because there’s nothing to do, no playground for kids, but a dog park, no security doors which allows anybody to come inside. My family and I are ready to move at this point but have to give a 60 day notice🙄.

THIS PLACE IS THE MOST PLACE THAT I'VE EVER LIVE! If I get a zero, I would. When my wife I moved last year in September, everything looked good until everything started to break. The washer machine wasn't working and the maintenance came in to fix it for the first time and it still had that same issue. I made the second request and the maintenance guy had an attitude, the cleaners didn't even clean this apartment all the way either. Every time its a storm the Internet, and power always goes out. They don't have any type of generator for each apartment building which is ridiculous and unacceptable. I have to walk through the hallway in the dark just to get to my car. About the internet, you can't have your own internet provider which I find is ridiculous because their internet provider for the apartment is garbage. How the heck do they say the apartment is luxurious but this place doesn't have new appliances, hardwood floors, or remodeled. This place is a complete joke and I will break the lease to leave this garbage place.
