BrewDog DogHouse Columbus Hotel and Brewery - Hotel in Canal Winchester - 96 Gender Rd, USA

The hotel was amazing. Loved the vibe and the rooms are super dog friendly. Adding on the shower beers is a must, and the complementary breakfast was actually pretty solid. So why the 2 stars? The brewery... The beer is great but the service level and food was so bad that I can't bring myself to rate it any higher. Our reservation for one of the Igloos as part of the Polar Patio was from 7-9, and our first concern arose when our drink order, placed at 7:16, didn't arrive until 7:52. The delay was unexpected, and when I approached the staff at 7:45, the hostess mentioned that the server had been “asked to do too much.”She assured us the drinks would be without charge. The pretzel we ordered with our drinks at 7:10 didn't arrive until 8:00. The final bill, which we received 25 minutes after requesting it, wasn’t itemized. We are still unclear of what we paid for and if the promised complimentary drinks were indeed accounted for in the total cost. The pretzel we received was actually really good, but then it went downhill from there. The Chuck Norris chicken sandwich was dry, the Mexican Corn dip tasted.... weird, and we didn't even was to risk anything that might be on the dessert menu. For a place with so much potential, I'm just disappointed.

Great atmosphere! The rooms are very well laid out and comfy. Puzzles, games and books to read while listening to records on the player. I would suggest bringing a dog bed if you don't sleep with a dog in your bed otherwise there's plenty of room in the beds! The shower beer fridge in the bathroom is extremely convenient which just leads me to say they have everything in the room you could want to just kick back and relax, including an acoustic guitar. Love it!

Brew house hotel has a super cool design. Love all the concrete and the beer was really good. Loved the record player with local music etc. I was extremely disappointed in the service. Not sure how a brewery hotel does not have a front desk / bartender available. There was one person who sat in the back room and we had to get them for everything. Why give complimentary beer-mimosa if there wasn’t anyone to pour them.

Such a fun, kid-friendly and dog- friendly hotel. The check in was an ease and the lady working was delightful. Wonderful food with plenty of options for various tastes. We will definitely be making this a regular stay when we visit Columbus in the future! Love the weighted blankets on the beds, too. We all got a great night's rest.

We had an igloo experience. It was different and fun. We were pretty chilly the 2 hours we were there, even with the little heater. A larger heater that possibly blows upwards instead of directly out may possibly help. The food was delicious and the service was great. Definitely will be back.

Loved it! The room was awesome with beer in the shower fridge and holder in the shower for your beer. Breakfast was always a great choice of hot and cols options along with a complimentary beermosa! All staff were super nice and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

We drove 12 hours to visit Brewdog Hotel and Brewery for a birthday getaway. When we arrived, we were notified there was a maintenance issue as there was a gas leak and the water heaters had to be shut down. We were given the option of staying there still or being put up in a hotel downtown Columbus. We were told the gas leak and water heaters would be repaired during the night and we would be able to shower in the morning, so we opted to stay as this was our intended destination. Come morning, there was still no hot water and the individuals who were to do the repairs were arriving as we were checking out. We also had two occasions where we placed orders with staff. First was during our dinner within an outdoor igloo we had reserved. I was asked for a credit card to be put on file prior to seating, which I provided, then was asked for it 15 minutes later again. I let the waiter know I had already provided it. We were then asked to text the waiter with our orders. I texted our appetizer and we were brought the wrong appetizer and had to have it corrected. The individual delivering the incorrect appetizer stated that she brought what was punched in. Later, one beer was ordered in the taproom and a tab was started. We decided to only get the one beer, so asked to close the tab. The price was more than what I had ordered so I requested a detailed receipt. I was charged for a fruited cider instead of the light beer that was ordered and this also had to be corrected. The brewery and hotel are very beautiful, but we were disappointed following a 12 hour jaunt to enjoy.

We didn’t stay in the hotel. We were in the Polar patio. Had reservation from 5-7. The rules were clearly stated on the reservation confirmation but the party before us were still being served drinks at 5:20. My husband asked for the manager. After some apparent confusion of telling us tables were first come first serve - my husband explained we had a reservation and had left work early to get there in time and had guests who were traveling afterward we were sat promptly at 5:27 with many apologies. He comped our first round of drinks and an appetizer platter. He also discounted our bill which was very generous. Overall we had a good time. The service was as expected. There was a heater which we didn’t need as we had an unseasonably warm day. The igloo was super cute! Our guests enjoyed the atmosphere. We brought a game to play but they had several as options. All 8 of us could be in a conversation without alot of background noise. There was enough room for 8 adults and two labs.
