0 star if I could. ||||We reserved the room via an official website. And when we got to the house, the host lady was so drunk that she didn't even expect us coming and keep saying we shouldn't be here, the software we booked the room is crazy, etc. She let us stayed in the room but asked for extra costs because she claimed she didn't receive any money from the software. After we settled down and turned in for the night, this host broke into our room and yelled this is so wrong, you shouldn't be here, and exited the room. We should've called the police but we were too tired at that time and couldn't spend another night dealing with this shiit. So we just went out early morning and moved on. Terrible terrible terrible experience with her and her place. Room was ok but the bed sheets were dirty. Dirt, women's hair...

C'était stipulé que je pouvais venir à partir de 15h, je suis arrivé à 15h30 et personne n'était là, j'ai tenté de téléphoner, fait des mails, et au bout de 2h j'ai décidé de me trouver une solution de secours... Et d'après ce que j'ai pu lire ce n'est pas la 1ere fois qu'elle fait le même coup ! Et soit disant elle avait prévenu Booking (2 jours avant ce qui est quoi qu'il arrive pas sérieux du tout) mais eux on aucune trace de ça. Vraiment pas fiable je déconseille vivement !!

This property is somewhat stylish in an old kind of way. It is spread out along the seawall in the Palo area. It is easy walking distance to the MacArthur memorial and Museum (where Gen Douglas MacArthur returned to the philippines in Oct 1944 ina made-for=photo ops staged wade ashore). That sight is worth seeing.||The hotel rooms are nice enough and the restaurant is good. Taxis and jeepneys are available out front to get around.

The hostess collected me at the airport as she said she would...this is no small thing as Taxis are hard to get and terribly expensive. She asked me what I wanted to do and see while there. She oriented me to nearby restaurants and stores and the way to see downtown (just 4 long blocks away). Kathleen was personable and helpful. She gave me discounted accommodations and aside from the breakfast laid out per plan, she invited me to share a more generous meal later. I have been in over 100 countries and she ties the best hostess ever. Does anyone reading these reviews NOT wonder why NOT ONE is in the middle? All are excellent or they are bad. What is wrong with those people giving her lowest reviews? Who said bring your pet? Are you kidding me? I recommend this as the best possible choice for a B&B in Fairbanks...other guests there during my stay were repeats and loved the place as much as I did.

Kathleen Brennan runs a small, very tidy and homey B & B just blocks from center of old town Fairbanks. Her service is the most efficient and personable I have ever experienced in any Bed & Breakfast, in any country. She does pick up and drop off at the airport for a small fee, and is available constantly to deliver hospitality to guests. This place is really awesome. I highly recommend it!

Had nothing but the best experience. House was spotless inside and out, the yard as well front and back, everything cared for cleaned and in its place. I have never felt more at home, the owner made me and another guess amazing home cooked meals before our flights the level she goes is truly above and beyond for her guest. I can and will be recommending. so comforting makes you feel at home.

My son booked this room and shortly after checking in, he got a call from the owner, accusing him of talking on the phone too loud, being drunk and having a woman in his room. First of all, us Texans have a habit of talking too loud and he apologized to her profusely and took his phone call outside. He was meeting his father n law but had broken down on his way to Fairbanks and was discussing the repairs that needed to be done. All this being said, you don't accuse a paying customer of being drunk and bring a woman to your room. She could've KINDLY asked Madison to lower his tone, as people were trying to sleep.

Never before did I think booking a stay on Airbnb could rank as one of the worst decisions of my life, and yet, here I am. I will copy the information I provided to Airbnb's support staff and still, it does not describe everything that happened to me in the home of Kathleen Brennan during my three day stay at her bed and breakfast. Kathleen was extremely obtrusive from the moment I walked in her door. I have never had a host who wanted to be so involved in my life and activities during my stay - and unwelcomingly so at that. Her actions were upsetting and triggering to me as I have PTSD, and when I asked her to make minor adjustments to her behavior for my comfort she refused, belittled me, discriminated against me, and said many horrible things to me. She mocked me when I cried and told me to stop acting like a child. She attempted to diagnose me with Bipolar disorder within thirty minutes of meeting me, and gave me prescription medication that was given to her by her doctor telling me it was for anxiety. It was not. It was an antipsychotic and a mood stablilizer. I was put on a medication such as this many years ago before being properly diagnosed and it caused a life threatening reaction. When I brought this to her attention she told me "I just want you to be normal so society accepts you!" I responded, "Society accepts me perfectly fine, you're the one with the problem." Kathleen drank constantly and demanded I do various tasks for her after I offered to help her set up her printer. She made me look at her laptop, clean marijuana glassware for her, she even got me out of bed one night by yelling for me to go get her a glass of ice. She accused me of stealing from her and yelled at me for taking a ten minute shower because over the water bill. She refused to provided wifi information even though it was said to be included in the listing on the grounds that her guests used it too often. Kathleen complained endlessly about her guests behavior such as - cooking before she woke up in the morning. Smoking outdoors and away from her property. Being in the room during the day even! When she got very drunk she would call me slurs based on my sexual orientation and she attempted to convert my religion. Kathleen stole supplies for my cat that had been donated to me by the Humane Society on the grounds that she had called them for me, so she had provided them. My final night there Kathleen screamed abuse outside my door for hours. It was endless. I had to make several calls to the police and I informed her that I would be checking out the next day. She flew into a rage over this and vaguely threatened my cat. She stomped and yelled about in the house all night until she tuckered herself out and finally passed out. I barricaded my bedroom door which she had a male friend of hers break down so she could come in uninvited and against my warning. A police officer arrived to drive me and my cat to a hotel which is where we're still at. I have suffered tremendously because of Kathleen's behavior. I came to Fairbanks because of a life threatening stalking situation that happened to me in my home state and hoped that in Fairbanks I would be safe. Turns out there are dangerous people everywhere, but now I know how to handle them, get away from them, and warn others to stay far away so the damage that has been done to me doesn't occur to them. If I can figure out how to do so I will post the recordins of Kathleen screaming at me because it really has to be heard to be believed. I have never been treated like this before in my life and Kathleen is in desperate need of help.
