Steep decline when entering and it was directly coming off a turn, so take the turn slow. We went after it had snowed, so we didn't spend as much time here exploring. But it's a great piece of history, has plaques to explain each piece.

Great piece of history captured and well displayed. Lots of machines to look at. With a little imagination, you can "see" a board coming through the whole process. Make sure you pick up one of the guide pamphlets, it will tell you what happened at each station.

Something very small, but different, is just a old sawmill.

Fantastic machinery with numbered descriptions. This place usually has pamphlets to describe the history and what each piece did. The Breck Historic Society website also has info. This area was significant in the contribution to milled lumber and furthering the growth of building capability and design. The nearby trail is a nice little walk. The small cabin and outhouse across the way is a nice backdrop but not worth stomping around - the new tree growth will appreciate less foot traffic. No bathrooms or garbage cans - pack it out and keep this area clean. Moose and bear frequent the area so keep your dogs on a leash.

Not very big but a neat, quirky little step back in history. Completely free, an outdoor exhibit highlighting milling in the early 1900s. Spectacular scenery all around and walking trails for enhanced views.

Pretty cool place to check out. Not a whole lot to see but if your in the area why not.

Worth it to see a well preserved old mill if you are into history and hiking or biking the nearby trails.

Honestly an upper echelon sawmill museum. It's all the equipment you'd expect to see. And more! It's a great 30 minute stop and you might even see a moose. I know I did.
