I loved the breakfast sandwich, grilled cheese, and the service. All the staff made a genuine effort to learn my name and even remembered it the next day and remembered my ordering preference.
Environment is very positive. It’s a great place to bring your laptop and work, catch up with friends, or bring your kids. They have wifi. Some people also brought their dog. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and fun activities such as reading.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the sourdough swirl as the icing was a bit to sweet and also am not used to coffee without whole milk, but the grilled cheese, soup of the day, and breakfast sandwich were all amazing! The sandwich was my favorite.
Beautiful plants adorned the entire restaurant. Overall, I recommend!
I went here today for breakfast with my daughter, for the first time. We were visiting from out of town for a football game. We had the most amazing experience. The barista was amazing, the food, the coffee, the desserts, the books, etc! My daughter loved playing the piano out back. Can't wait to come back next time that we are around the Cape!
Every time my mother and I come here is a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is amazing and very cute and vibey. Love love love all of the plants and the books!! There is lots to keep you occupied. The people who work here are fabulous. Very very helpful, kind and have amazing suggestions. They really try to satisfy all of your needs. Everyone is fun and personable and have really great style. The food is great and you wouldn’t know it’s vegan! The home fries are delicious and this lemonade is SOOOO good. One of the cashiers suggested it and we’ve gotten it every time! My mom is OBSESSED with this place!! I couldn’t recommend this place more.
We enjoyed a lovely meal at this trendy book store/ vegan eatery. I ordered the Feta and Fig toast and it was superb! The combo of flavors hit all the right notes! The restaurant was bright, cheerful, and clean. Staff was friendly as can be!!! Wish I lived nearby to linger a little longer and get a good look at all the books and other items for sale!! I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful establishment.
I absolutely loved this cute cafe! They had local artists playing all day and many cozy places to sit and either eat and watch the performers or find a cozy corner to sit and read in. I wish more local places like this existed in other places! Definitely recommend if you’re coming to the cape to stop by and either buy a delicious something or look at the funny cards and books you can purchase!
Discovering Bread + Roses made me happy our boat got canceled to Nantucket. Here is why:
1. The bookstore/coffee shop combo is one of my favorite mergers of a business model. This place has a ton of character and is super quaint. It’s very easy to get cozy here and it’s a great place if you have children as well.
2. Coffee is fantastic! They also do not serve any milk here. So oat is their base. I was happy about that.
3. Really friendly staff and extremely clean space.
4. They sell new and used books!
Overall this place is awesome. Highly recommend checking it out. Check my photos to get a sense of the space.
This place is just so lovely. A lot of the food is made from scratch and the flavors are so well balanced, you can really tell they care about the quality of the food. I got the fig and feta toast which I highly recommend getting. The atmosphere is lovely but they did have a woman singing and playing an instrument (which sounded lovely) but I would imagine it could be hard to read in there if that’s what you are looking to do. If you are able to, I would absolutely recommend stopping by. The apple caramel latte was also great!
Such a great find for Cape Cod. Cool queer, vegan book store and cafe. Food was delicious. I had the Portuguese breakfast burrito and split sweet chili wings. And took home a Pride lemon poppyseed cake. Would definitely visit again. 🌈✌️

Ok, had the healthy choice omelette with spinach, avocado pepper jack, onions n tomato and comes with side of fresh fruit. Whoever cooks here knows what they are doing. I was concerned avocado would b mush in an omelette but it was perfectly cubed,
