I stayed here 2 years ago the night before my wedding and had a wonderful experience. I just stayed this past weekend with some friends for my birthday and noticed a few things had changed. We never had contact with the owner. We let ourselves in and found our room. I had trouble finding my check in email with the door code so I called the number provided 2 times and no one answered. Thankfully I found the email so we were able to get in! The coffee and tea always available is nice and appreciated! The biggest disappointment was that they no longer have a warm breakfast! This time they had packaged doughnuts (Hostess brand) and things for toast and bagels but no butter or cream cheese. They also had cereal and yogurt. Every other B & B I’ve been to serves a nice breakfast and you get to interact with the owners. It felt a little strange. We will go back because the rooms are comfortable and clean and cozy! But next time we will plan to go out for breakfast.
This is a very cute establishment. It is clean and cozy. The rooms are comfortable and very enjoyable. My husband and I stayed in the belle suite and we enjoyed it. The Jacuzzi is very nice. The furniture and bed is comfortable. We haven’t made it to the continental breakfast yet but so far so good this place is adorable quiet I like that it feels very private. We will definitely book here again.
Such a cool place and at a decent price per night. The 19th century aesthetics make me feel like I'm staying at my grandma's old house from the 1900's.
Outstanding historic inn. We chose the option of renting the whole Inn for the week. All rooms are beautifully decorated with heated bedcover options and private baths/shower. The suites have large wonderful bathtubs. Great water pressure in showers. Abundant high quality robes/linens. Washer dryer on both floors. ||Well stocked kitchen, spacious dining/living room. Multiple Keurig machines and hot water teapot with lots of tea/cider/coffee/hot chocolate options & also a drip 12 cup coffee pot (my fave). We did a lot of cooking, no need to bring any equipment all there.||Lovely garden with sitting area. Lots of parking in adjacent lot. Easy walk to shops/restaurants/markets; short drive to all area attractions like EAA. ||Owners extremely responsive to all questions; fast fix of minor issues when notified by text.||I have significant allergies to pets/smoke/dust: no problems, Inn was spotless and was pet/smoke free. ||We would absolutely stay again!
The house is wonderful inside and out. Welcoming and beautifully decorated. Our room was cozy and comfortable and the snack basket and cookies were a hit! Enjoyed having the communal areas to hang out in and read - we couldn't take advantage of the porch or back deck because it was too cool. Would highly recommend a stay here!
I was in town one night for work, so I didn't get to enjoy much of the common spaces as I would have liked. The room was fantastic and making coffee and grabbing a snack in the morning was no problem. Will hopefully be back next year.
We stayed here for my husband’s birthday for two nights in March. We adored the house itself, and enjoyed relaxing there, but some things were a little different than expected. It appears it’s off the website now, but when we booked it said there was a dessert and drink social hour in the evenings, and while they had their normal keurig/tea and some cookies we expected something different. In addition, when booking it asks if you have dietary restrictions, and my husband is gluten free. I am assuming this question is from when they were a b&b (they aren’t now) but we of course hoped that maybe there would be some bread or something that he could have, but no. Also, it really bothered me that there was no bathroom door in the belle suite. It was such a romantic room with an awesome tub, but felt awkward to only have a shower curtain for a door. I would have booked the other suite if I had known. Breakfast is lots of packaged pastry-like items, fruit, toast, yogurt, oatmeal packets. I don’t like sweet in the morning so was hoping for some hard boiled eggs or cottage cheese, or cream cheese for the toast, but that’s always the risk with continental! Breakfast is supposedly for two hours but the non-refrigerated stuff sat out for over 24 hours, I am guessing the owners were busy and didn’t want to have to deal with clean up and redoing it the next morning. Overall we enjoyed the house a lot (I agree with less floral everything in b&bs!) and it was probably my favorite room we stayed in, outside of the door situation. But we felt a little like we were more of a burden for the owners staying there vs. welcomed.
Everything was AMAZING!!! I cannot say enough about how AMAZING Brayton B&B was for my wedding. We booked the entire B&B for our small wedding at the end of August. The B&B is beautiful! The rooms are wonderfully decorated, very clean, and the beds are super comfortable. Nicole took care of all my wedding plans, booking my appointments, ordering and picking up flowers and cake, booking our amazing photographer and amazing officiant. She was a blessing! I didn't have to stress or worry over any detail. It felt like a home away from home. Her and her husband were very hospitable and were there when we needed them, but gave us just enough privacy that it felt like we were in our own house. Breakfast was superb! I would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the Oshkosh area. I really cannot say enough about our host and hostess and the accommodations they provided. Looking forward to coming back!
Little gem of a store that was right up my alley. Many inspiring pieces and ideas. Prices are great. The owner was present, friendly, and helpful. Will definitely visit again. I got this lantern along with a few other fabulous finds.
This place is LOVELY and the food is incredible. When I walked in the smell was so good I felt instantly hungry. I got the Saturday special and Iâve never had anything like it. It was comforting, meaty, smoky, and tasty like a hug in a bowl. So goo
A must stop, especially at Christmas and Easter (chocolate and vanilla oysters). Walking down the stairs, the aroma of chocolate surrounds you. There is no other small candy maker like Hughes. The staff is very friendly and you are sure to make a fri
Great card shop. Good people and fair and honest prices. Highly recommended to any collector and itâs great to have a solid brick and mortar shop in the area.
I absolutely love this establishment and Jim is one of the best bartenders in the state of Wisconsin! From the race car game, to the endless laughs and the colorful atmosphere this bar is worth the stop if you are in the area. We recently went after
When I say I would give my last dollar to this place if it meant the difference between them having to shut down or not one day, I would choose them. Banana peppers, pepperoni and extra sauce. I love this place, it never fails. Been a weekly customer
5 nights in a row of pure fun for me! We went Sunday thru Thursday nights for the bands and food. Both were awesome. Great prices, even greater people. Very welcoming atmosphere.
Massive craft beer selection as well as spirits. Awesome rotation of different kinds of brats. Gourmet chocolates...and the list goes on. There's something for everyone here.
