A transcendental movement took place upon entry into this forest. Enchanted geese 🪿 gathered near our presence and ate vegetation as if we were part of nature alongside them. I highly recommend gracing this place with your being. It’s game & life changing.

It's difficult to keep a review for this Brandywine Festival of the Arts short and sweet. After attending, I can attest to how this event and outdoor space work well for individuals with health limitations or disabilities like myself. A couple of my friends shared with me over the years how much they enjoyed the Brandywine Festival of the Arts, and I could see why! Having it in Brandywine Park was spacious and convenient enough of a location to access. We came from Newark, and moments after exiting off of 95, we found parking. We didn't take a shuttle because it was close enough to walk past the school Warner, down the cobblestone street (which I love and remember from childhood), and into the park for the festival. You pay a $5 entry fee and start roaming about discovering the sights, sounds, and smells of food from over a dozen vendors. Keeping the original spirit of the art fair from many years ago, the Brandywine Festival of the Arts still has live music, local food vendors, and children’s activities along with the local artisans. This festival was pet friendly, and people respected the suggestion to only bring dogs who can handle being around a lot of people. The vendor tents were all set up along flat grounds, which made an easier walk. I saw several people in wheelchairs, families with strollers—and the only time it felt like a struggle was exiting the event and going uphill to the street where we parked. Those cobblestone streets don't feel so nice on the joints when it's steep! I suggest moving over to the green space to walk up the lawn if you find yourself in that position. All in all, I had a wonderful experience, and I enjoyed meeting some really creative souls while buying handcrafted gifts!

Love this place. Everyone does. very nice and serene. quiet and a great place to bring the kids or dogs to walk, play, ride bikes or just sit on the rocks by the water and just read. It has a lot of shade and plenty of parking and conveniently right next to the Brandywine Zoo

Awesome place for family, friends, and fishing!!! (Not sure if that last one is allowed) Today, I walked over 3 miles on the trails and enjoyed every bit. There is plenty of space for pets, lots of space and equipment for exercising, playgrounds for children, and benches for scenery viewing.

We took advantage of nice weather in February & admission is free during the winter months. It's a very small zoo, but clean, well kept & a nice little stop if your re in the area. We saw a variety of animals & enjoyed our visit. It's situated near the river Bank, so it's a scenic place to stroll & picnic. Restrooms are in the gated zoo area. There isn't a playground, but there is an area for kids to play in the zoo, logs to crawl through & jump on.

Nice trails along the Brandywine and its adjacent canal. Easy connection to Trolley Square and Brandywine Zoo. Great views of Wilmington and the River from various vantage points and bridges. Plenty of exercise venues. Also Jasper Crane Rose Garden is a delight along with nearby memorial fountains.

I really liked that it was full of animals but small enough of a zoo that I could walk it a few times and not be tired I also enjoyed the snack bar and not being so over priced. The gift shop lady was amazing we had a very good time

A pleasant, idyllic park, very much of a piece with this sleepy and serene city. There are beautiful, poetic views of the Brandywine River, which looks solemn and melancholic in winter, but looks so beautiful and rapturous in springtime, surrounded by verdure and explosions and profusions of flowers. If you are in the region, and you have time, I highly recommend checking out the zoo, which is close by and a pleasant excursion on a sunny morning.
