Amazing food for dinner! First "high end" restaurant in Decatur but it was so worth the money this trip. I really hope they keep the quality up. The staff was amazing and the chef came out to the table to talk to us and all is if we had any questions. Made the whole experience better. Relaxing atmosphere and we felt welcome.
We were very excited to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint! I usually don’t eat game meat from restaurants but had to make an exception when I saw the Elk medallions. I was very impressed with the cook on the Elk. I asked for medium well because again, I usually have trust issues with game from restaurants that I am not familiar with. It was perfect! Even with the medium well cook, it was moist and tender, and seasoned perfectly. The vegetables were also seasoned beautifully and cooked without being too soft, or limp. The wife loved her stuffed chicken hollandaise. The staff are genuinely friendly and very professional. Cannot wait to come back for breakfast!
Nothing special, and I won’t go out of my way to go again. Had to recook my eggs to over medium and still didn’t quite get there. Asked for extra crispy hash browns and almost broke a tooth. I did not ask for extra crispy bacon. I’ve never left bacon in on my plate, but the dogs will get a treat when I get home. Coffee was good. Orange juice was good. Server was attentive. Just eh.
Country chic cafe, right off the highway. We needed to find breakfast on our way to Colorado. This was a perfect stop. Our waitress was attentive and willing to serve. The food was delicious. I had the Ryan omelette (gluten free). My family had Jason’s biscuits. French toast was thick and sprinkled with powdered sugar.
Another great breakfast at a new Brandi's location. Great food, great service, and a wonderful country atmosphere. Breakfast is served til 11 a.m. on weekdays and 2 p.m. on weekends. Highly recommend.
Waiting time was almost an hour for food order when it came out it was colder than room temperature, first time ever visiting this place, won't be returning, service was subpar, along with the food.and gravy is cheap just flour and water, bacon burnt crisp, hopefully things improve.
A couple we know discovered that Brandi's Country Kitchen has added a evening dinner menu in the other part of the restaurant that used to be the Chisholm Trail but now is Brandi's Country Kitchen off of Hwy 287 on the south end of Decatur, TX. Four of us couples went on a Thursday night, and were blown away by the restaurant's food. We ordered a "bacon crostini" appetizer which was a fun and completely original way of serving a cheese, bacon and toasted bread. Several of us ordered steaks, and commented on the tenderness of the beef and the delicious seasoning and flavoring. We had a variety of vegetables as sides, and everyone loved theirs. The pork chops were great, the loaded baked potatoes delicious. We heard that they serve a delicious entree of elk, using the owner's own favorite recipe. The server was having her first night, but clearly was experienced and knowledgeable of what the restaurant offers (even some things that were off menu). Food sensitivities were totally respected and so my wife who is often limited to salad when we go out enjoyed a full meal. We all commented that the layout of the restaurant (attached to, but not used for breakfast and lunch part of the restaurant) had a great ambience, not noisy, with attractive art on the walls (a horse theme). We drove to the restaurant from Haslet, and will definitely make the trip regularly. Currently the restaurant does not have a liquor license so it's "bring your own beverage" which resulted in fun sharing among our group. It was a memorable occasion. Being from outside the area, we were not aware that the owner has several restaurants in this county. Her experience shows in offering something original and high quality with good value for the price. This is the day after we visited and my mouth waters at the memory of the food!
Seems to be very successful and we applaud them for doing well. However, the reception was horrible. Nobody out front to receive people and while waiting for around 10 minutes before giving up (Along with other guests leaving before being attended) when we were leaving, a grumpy lady came out and spoke to everybody like we were a nuisance and she couldn’t help anyone before she had cleared tables. Very rude way and definitely not friendly and welcoming. We like Risky Bs and we like the owner, and I am sure the food is good quality here, but I don’t think we will return after that treatment. We understand if it is understaffed or someone is out sick, but that doesn’t explain the rude treatment. Nobody complained about the wait or anything so it was definitely uncalled for.

Good place to sit while you watch your children play. It would have been perfect, were it not for the older teenagers who were playing so roughly on the children's zip line, that it was a danger for any child that wandered to close. They sure won't l

All staff was very friendly and accommodating. Amenities were above average. Our room had some flaws and we were immediately upgraded. Even during major renovation our stay was pleasurable
