I like to root for the underdog and I truly hope the owners get their stuff together. This is a sweet little property with a lot of potential. ||The price point was reasonable and the location is ideal for visiting Petrified Forest. The room surfaces were adequately clean and the bathroom was clean. The sheets were fresh and we slept very well. ||The trains didn’t bother us. What did was just the lack of utility in the room. It’s a pretty small space. It would be great to have hooks on the walls and some shelves so guests can get their belongings off the floor. Also first impressions are important. I’ve never seen more dirty dusty areas outside the guest room doors. Of course the dirt and dust tracks right into the guest rooms. ||I wish the owners and staff the best. Get it together.
Check-in was quick and easy, the lady at the front desk was friendly. The themed rooms are very cute and clean, I had actually forgotten that they were themed, so that was a fun surprise. They provide earplugs because of the train, I saw in reviews before booking that the noise was an issue for some, but we never needed them, couldn't hear the train at all from inside the room and slept great. Would definitely stay again when passing through Holbrook.
Wonderful spot! Clean room, fun Route 66-themed decor, service was top notch. Had a couple of specific requests and they went out of their way to accommodate us. 100% recommend to road trippers and travelers.
I would like to address some of the complaints left on previous reviews. I think these people from now on should stay in 4-star hotels. This is an old Route 66 motel and if you don't want the Route 66 experience then don't stay at this type of motel. Yes, the rooms are somewhat dated and do not not offer the amenities that your multi-million dollar Motel corporations offer. It would be very hard and expensive to update these but most importantly that would take away from their charm. I spent the night of July 13th 2024 in this motel, I don't understand the complaint about trains every 20 minutes. During my stay there only two trains early in the evening and two trains early in the morning. As far as the uneven floors, they were not that bad and remember it's a very old building. They're also complaints about uncomfortable beds. Although my bed was a little firmer than I prefer it was very comfortable and I slept very well. It would be impossible for them to provide everyone with a type of mattress that they find most comfortable. I found the motel to a great Route 66 experience. The staff was very helpful, friendly and polite. The room was very clean and I loved the Arizona theme. There was complaint of two different colored towels in the bathroom. I think this was done on purpose to add a little variety and color to the room. My only complaint was that there needs to be some kind of an anti-slip strips in the bathtub so that you don't slip while taking a shower. Speaking of the shower, there was plenty of hot water and it was very hot! I was very happy with my stay and planning to stay here again in the future when I pass through town.
I forgot to write a review after I went so doing it now because this place had the most comfortable beds and the cutest room. I appreciated that even the trash can and lamps were on theme. Made me wish I could peek at some other rooms, because I assume the themes vary. Also very very convient for getting to the National Park early the next day. The (I'm guessing owner or relative of the owner) who checked us in was super nice, especially considering it was the off season and we ended up showing up much later than we expected. I would stay here again if the hotel magically teleported to somewhere I was headed. A+ Good Job.
If you truly want an authentic Route 66 experience Brad’s is a great stop. Rooms are clean and comfortable and have amenities you need without sacrificing authenticity. It’s not going to be anything like a modern hotel so if you want that, this ain’t for you, BUT if you truly want a quirky and one of a kind gem, this is your spot. Truly appreciated the character and care in maintaining its uniqueness while still creating a comfortable and fun stay.
The motel’s proximity to the train tracks means you’ll hear loud horns throughout the night, which can be quite disruptive. While I appreciated the Route 66 decor and theme, the motel is rather outdated and didn’t quite match the photos on Expedia. It had a certain charm, but I wish I had known about the noise in advance. Additionally, there was no one on-site to provide ear plugs, despite what other reviews mentioned when we checked in.
My husband and I stayed overnight on the way to Sedona and were very pleased with the room. Yes, it's a vintage roadside motel, but very clean, amazing AC, super comfy beds, good wifi, very helpful personnel. And a bathroom that actually had plenty of bright light - not the dim light found in most modern hotels now. The train noise seems to be an issue with some reviews but it wasn't that bad in the room and we had no problem with it . It's just as advertised and has some updates, but if it was a luxury motel all the charm would be lost too. We would stay here again.
This place is new since the last time we drove through Holbrook. The coffee is great and not ridiculously expensive. We were served through the drive thru by Piper who told us she'd been there since they opened. She was very pleasant and it was a fan
Great small town museum. Free entry and very friendly staff. Lots to see on many levels. The signage can be vague and is a little small but it was well worth the stop
Ordered spaghetti with meatballs. It was good. The garlic bread was great. Had a beer out of Sedona AZ. Oak Creek something somethingâ¦. Great beer. Server and busboy were slammed with customers. Server was able to hold her cool and direct bus
When we got there the bathrooms were getting repaired.so we didnât have anywhere to use the restroom at first but they said it would be ready soon so we went to the store to stock up on snacks and when we came back, one of the staff informed us sin
I had the fajita combo, and my wife had the two burrito combo. We definitely had enough food. One combo would've been enough for the both of us, but the leftovers were good the next day. The rice and beans were great. The fajitas were amazingly de
