This place is located a bit out of the downtown, but the neighbourhood seems quiet enough and fairly safe compared to other cities. This hostel is unique as it has access to a gym, sauna and climbing wall facility. It has a nice bar with a 2nd story patio. Clean and funky. I would return.

Probably the best hostel I’ve stayed at in the states! It’s within the evo Hotel which is also connected to a gym/center with rock climbing, yoga and strength exercise classes. You get free passes to participate in those as well which is pretty cool. There’s a coffee shop near the lobby and guests can get drip coffee for free. Enjoyed the rooftop bar too. There are also lots of common areas to hang out or do some work.

Bposhtel was great! Service was friendly and helpful. I felt welcome and accepted. The beds and bathrooms and showers were all top notch. The location worked well for me...a 10 minute ride from the airport and a 15 minute walk to downtown. I would definitely stay here again.

Honestly the best experience I've had staying at a hostel - they have so much to offer - indoor gym with rock climbing wall - hot sauna - great morning breakfast coffee bar - 2 cool stores inside - the room was super comfy and great style.

I really enjoyed my stay. Ample free parking on the street. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The hostel is inside a hotel that shares the amenities. The added use of a locker room is a bonus. The entire facility is very clean as well.

This hostel is a gentrified homeless shelter with 8 people to a room in bunks with no privacy, and a requirement that you remain outside your room from 11 until 3, again like a homeless shelter that you pay money for. There is no overhead lighting in the rooms. It is either very dark or someone opens up the blind that overlooks the gym at daybreak with an annoying sleep disturbing clatter. Forget about having a shower or having time to use the restroom inside your room, and plan on showering in the gym adjacent bathroom area that does include a sauna. The gym is a separate business, but free passes are provided with the stay. It is the only amenity that is worthwhile, and again, it is a separate business. The hostel itself operates as two businesses so that it can skirt negative reviews and blame. I reviewed the hostel negatively while staying there and was threatened with eviction and told to leave a better review. The staff are inattentive, unaware, and do not care. They are simply checked out and will respond to any questions with blank stares, and a simple "We are managed by a third party company, and I'm not really that informed on the matter." You will find better conditions and service in jail, where meals are provided with your stay, and you usually bunk with no more than three people at a time. The area surrounding the hostel itself is under construction, overrun with open drug use and homelessness, and constantly patrolled by police evicting the homeless from sleeping outside. Artwork nearby features victims of police violence. A fitting tribute to the spirit of the area which seems to exploit the downtrodden and poor. This hostel is not worth visiting or spending money at. There was a poster on the wall that said, "Dreaming is free",. If only a person could get a night's rest in this trash establishment. Stay at a motel.

I stayed here around New Years as a solo woman. Beautiful, new facility. Very modern looking. I was in a bunk room and ended up only having one other person. Our room was above the climbing gym which was neat, but also a bit noisy. The hostel provided earplugs which was much appreciated. It was walkable from downtown, however it’s definitely in an area that’s still developing. The staff were all very kind and helpful. My main issue, which was partially my own fault, was not realizing there was no kitchen or open laundry facility. I only stayed for one night, and there’s a great food hall about a block away with lots of restaurants. So not a problem for a single night. However as a hostel I’m used to cooking or at least storing my own food. Different vibe than your traditional hostel in that sense but there were lots of people around who seemed really nice. I didn’t have time to take any of the classes but it’s awesome they’re included in your stay if you have the time. I felt like overall the price was decent for the cleanliness and accommodations. I’d stay again for short term stays for sure
