Box Seat - Sports bar in Greensboro - 5006 High Point Rd # E, USA

As former residents of Greensboro, we came to Box Seat for nostalgic reasons when we were in town. We have yet to find a place similar in the Raleigh area. The best wings I’ve had in a long time and you can’t beat their hot chips. Our server was great - she figured out our family’s humor pretty quick and went right along with it - thank you! I’m so sorry I don’t remember her name but she had long reddish hair and said she had been there about 3 years. Service was prompt, food was correct and delicious. Thank you for a great experience - was just as good as it was 15 years ago!

It was a solid bar and grill. Thinks it's a local sports bar. Food and service were both good as well. Several draft beer selections and full bar. Some outside seating, too. Prices on the menu differed from the ticket, but not by much.

Tried to go here to watch the browns for wild card weekend. The server was so rude we left. The bartender told me I wasn’t allowed to order from the bar and had to wait for a server despite us having already waited 10 minutes without anyone coming. I asked to put the game on one of the TV’s and she said no. Only one part of the bar was allowed to have the browns. The rest of the bar, mind you, was all showing college basketball. 12 TVs for the same 2 college basketball games, and they weren’t even local teams. I’ve been here twice and both times the wait staff was extremely rude.

I've been eating here for 27 years. The last three to go orders were wrong. Ordered 10 wings with blue cheese and celery w/side order of hot chips w/ranch. First two orders came with no celery or blue cheese. Today Ordered the same. While ordering I told her what happened and to double check my order. She replied "I'm putting the order together and I got you". When I received my order I asked if she double checked it. She replied "yes". I got home and had two ranches and no blue cheese. She even wrote on the box "celery and ranches". Called back and she made excuses and said they would comp my celery and blue cheese next time. "How do comp what comes with it?" I asked. She said they'll give me extra. I don't need extra just to not use. I need what I ordered. Now looking for new wing spot.

I have been here 5 times. I had a fully positive experience twice out of the 5 times. We are not the customers to easily complain. We have ordered wings multiple times and got a totally different flavor then what we ordered. We did not call and complain. We simply ate what was given... however today when I received my wings. The seasoning was almost non existent. Look at the photo, it will show the bottom of the tray has 0 seasoning, the chicken barely has seasoning. This is one of the flavors I get every time I come, it has never looked nor tasted this way. Since this was the 3rd time our order was wrong we chose to call and were told they would not be able to replace them. Our option and only option was to bring the wings back from our home and have them add more seasoning. The right thing to do would have been to replace them. A small gesture for a returning customer. My recommendation is to check your bag and your food. Not just the receipt.

Great little place with decent food at a very reasonable pricing- service was outstanding - beer was cold! We saw reviews regarding lack of service found is to be not at all the case.

The Box seat is just a great all around laid back place to enjoy! Staff is super friendly. Only bad thing is they're closed Mondays.

Food was really good especially the fried pickles. No complaints…
