We came here for years now when it first opened it was great. Now it is a pain with there new gate codes, ours would not work half the time then the camp host got snippy about it. They are very strict about early check in and check out will charge you extra for both of early and or late. When there is no one in office you have to call and talk to someone random that says the camp host will call but never did before we left. The over night rates are ridiculously since they charge full hook up rate for not full hooks ups on the top. Will not be supporting there campground and will not be going back!!
Overall a wonderful weekend as the campground only had a few visitors. The areas were clean, bathrooms were clean. A favorite place to stay while enjoying sand therapy at Coos Bay. Excellent dune access, I'll be staying there again. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.
I'm only giving a 3 star to give the benefit of... The new system with the gates is a pain in the booty I understand that things take time and adjustments but they need to make it clear for people checking in especially with a group the camp host was nice but to took his frustration out on us about us using the gate system wrong unknowingly. No clear path for wheelchairs or strollers to get to the showers. The store was closed dang near the whole time, which was frustrating because I walked over there about 5 times in one day just trying to buy from them otherwise it's a nice campground and I hope the gate thing works out for them. Also the owner did come over and talk to us and said they are looking into getting some kind of food going so that would be awesome.
Camp host is aggressively rude and unable to communicate without yelling. Ruined our vacation with his our initial interaction with him and his wife. Will not be back. We were 1 out of 3 campers in the entire campground and he acted very agitated and overwhelmed with his job. The owner seems nice but I have to wonder why he keeps the host there when so many people have left negative reviews regarding his behavior.
Excellent dune access. Dunes aren't as varied or expansive as elsewhere nearby. Decent showers, completely private and 2 bucks gets you like 15 minutes or so? Depending where you are, it can be a long walk to restrooms/showers. Not a particularly scenic campground. Kinda cramped. Flat, dusty gravel parking lot with just a few meters between sites. Water and electric hookups available. Pretty short drive to beach access. Alright, but definitely prefer sand camping.
What a shame. We used to love this campground, the hosts were great and the dune access is amazing. You still have good dune access but the new management is miserable. All their guest are to them is an annoyance and they make you feel that way every time you interact with them. This husband wife team fight and bicker in front of you. We had 4 sites booked for multiple days and every interaction with them they made all of us feel like we were not welcome and accused us of losing our parking pass or how dare we try to buy a sweatshirt from their convenience store or god forbid you try to ride to the showers and park in the wrong spot or go the wrong way thru the new security gates. Do yourself a favor and give these people what they want and go to a different campground that appreciates their guests
Staff is difficult to deal with. He seems to hate his job and wants everyone to be miserable along with him. Stayed here two times in two years. I will not be staying here next year. I never got a parking pass when I checked in. Saw that someone else had one. When I asked for a parking pass the next day, the manager was agitated and seemed put out by helping me. I witnessed a couple of times when he was rude to kids about going through the wrong gate. I dont usually write reviews, but I was really put off by the managers attitude that I felt it was important to let people know. Again, I am not staying here again.
Beautiful campground is ruined with the angry camp host. Worst way to start a well-deserved vacation when he’s yelling at you and says that’s “just how he talks”. Looks like a lot of reviews regarding him. Customer service goes a long way and this man should not be working with the public. The gates locking you in is a little unsettling. We tried 4 of our party’s gate codes to get out and none worked. Seems like overkill to need a code to exit.

If I could give the categories of food, service, and atmosphere more than five stars I would. I am from out of town and I would eat here every day! As a vegan, this was a haven. I couldn't believe how delicious everything was. The interior space is
Amazing place! We've been going for years and the owner has always been pleasant. Coffee and smoothies are both very good! Highly reccomend this coffee spot!
Great food great service. Ordered the country fried steak, had great flavor and was very fresh. Gravy was exceptional as well. The hash browns were very thin and crisp. The one and only cook had a lot on his plate however. Cooking alone for 30+ peopl
Wildflour is the place you want to be. Fancy Food, in a laid-back, cozy atmosphere. The restaurant itself is stunning. The food is utterly spectacular, stellar! Plus, all their food is locally sourced, and they butcher their own cuts of beef, making
Love it! Great local spot for the entire family. Awesome food, full bar, and local beers on tap. Wood fired pizza is stellar. The new patio area is beautiful and cozy on any weather. They've got cornhole, giant connect four, fire pit. They have live
Enormous burrito! Super nice lady running the counter. Carnitas was good, big pieces of meat, no dry tiny pieces here. Shredded cabbage and tomato were a good texture and flavor combo. Red and green salsa were standard. But again the burrito was huge
