We went for the first time and it was so good! We ordered a chicken burrito and chicken enchiladas. The flavors were amazing, chicken was juicy, the cilantro lime rice was fresh, and the green salsa on the enchiladas was rich and tasty. Will definitely be going back.
Best Burritos On Island! Forget Chipotle. If you need a banging burrito or a delicious burrito bowl, get to Bowles Burritos. Relaxed atmosphere and mouthwatering ingredients. I can personally recommend the spicy Carne Asada and the Kulua Pork any day of the week! And don't forget the chips and salsa! The homemade salsa is flavor-packed and comes in mild, medium, or spicy (all delicious).
I enjoy out of the way places with great food. The owner personalizes the visit by spending a lot of time in person and visiting with guests. If you get a chance to meet Maggie, you'll love her as well. I had a burrito bowl and got to sample the wet burrito. Both were amazing. I didn't visit the bar side, but if I'm in the area again, I'll drop in for a beer.
Great spicy carne asada with refried beans, cilantro rice, guac, salsa, onions, squeeze of lime and onions burrito in a bed of lettuce. I also got it wet with a green salsa topped with cheese. It was sooooo good and a great size to share. They do have a bar which looked fully stocked, definitely returning to try their nachos and margaritas!
Still the best wet carne asada burrito
Potentially my new favorite restaurant on the island. Discovered Bowles Burritos near the end of my trip, and was sad to only be able to return to it once. Had a Pork Verde Burritos, and OBVIOUSLY "made it wet", which smothers it with cheese and delicious salsa, before taking a trip in the oven. Absolutely phenomenal. My wife had a vegetarian quesadilla and loved it as well. Can't wait to go back.
I'm from Arizona so I think I'm a pretty good judge of Mexican food... Well this place beats all! Flavors are incredible, portions large, ingredients fresh. Quaint establishment in a great little town. Been there 2x in 1 week and going one more time before I leave the island. I'd say it's a must!
Super friendly and family owned. Street parking and parking lot in the back .
Two sides, one side for food and the other side for bar drinks. 🍸
Great specials for taco Tuesday 🌮. They really pack in a lot with kulua pork or chicken , rice, beans and cold trimmings.
I had the pork tacos 2 dollars each and a margarita for 5 dollars. A total of 7 dollars is the cheapest I've ever had in hawaii. A super discount!
I'll definitely come back!
I had a margarita with li hing rim on the rocks for 5 bucks and fresh lime juice! No ka oi!
Super friendly staff!
The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Probably the nicest people we have come across while here. The food was good, but the pulled chicken was a little dry, or maybe it was a little too compacted/dense when rolled into a burrito? I dunno, but i would still come back and try other items!
Found this tiny spot, appreciation to Google... Must say that the sugar is so mild that I was taking satisfaction in savoring every bite...
The ladies are the loveliest... Greeted me with a smile and friendliness... I asked her for a recommendation
Awesome place to hike and catch an early morning sunrise. Bring flashlights/headlamps if you're navigating the trails before the sun is up. It would definitely be slippery when raining. Many paths snake up the hill to the pillboxes. It's worth it to
This is our home! Kayak here on a sunny day, go for a snorkel and pack a lunch. We rent kayaks within walking distance of the launch area. Permits are required by the state and available at our shop. This is a wildlife sanctuary so be respectful, tra
