Rowdy and raucous walking street, primarily for those into alcohol culture. Ended up walking through Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on a recent trip in December. Lots of bars and clubs with ridiculously loud, basic music over the speakers. There are some decent restaurants in the area, and it's worth walking through at least once for the experience. Only one really good street performer on the Saturday night. Lots of kids doing drum beats on buckets you can give a dollar to. If you like to drink it may be more enjoyable.

If you pass by New Orleans, you must walk on this street and the ones around. Music in all bars starting sunset, safe and fun.

It was exciting for sure!! Lots of adult things to see. There is every kind of bar you can imagine. The homeless were present, but they were harmless. I never felt in danger. I would not bring kids here that is for sure!! It is a fun place to experience but you probably don't need more than a few days. All of the food was good. Drinks were a little pricy but that's what you do on vacation.

Bourbon Street can be exciting to visit but I feel is not representative at all of the city or the culture. Most locals, that I know tend to avoid Bourbon Street whenever possible. It can be fun but more often is a collection of inebriated folks and those there to try to take advantage of them. Be careful and don’t fall for I know where you got them shoes.

NOLA night life is well known for its excitement and fun vibe. But what you may not know that the party goes on all day long from morning to the next morning all week long !

Really great if you don't go in the middle of Mardis Gras. Great sights, rich history, awesome shops, delicious eateries, grand architecture, and so many different cultures of people. It's not all about teenagers getting drunk and acting stupid. The area has so much to offer and see. One of a kind experiences and scenery. If you walk Jackson square on a weekend, the vendors are great. The shops around the square are fantastic with items only found in that area and shops that are the only seller for those shoes, dresses, hats, or art work. I can't even tell you all of the unbelievable food just around the square and down Bourbon St!

We took a few hour detour after leaving Graceland on the way to Galveston Texas and stopped in New Orleans. Even in late November it was warm, people were out, and there was a real electricity in the air. We will definitely be back.

Walked over from the river front. And picked up a horse (mule) drawn carriage tour of local haunts. The park has an interesting history. It's beautiful to walk around with plenty of places to sit and take pictures.

The mansion is beautiful! Stopped by here because it was used in the filming of AHS Coven. We walked around the outside of it- didn't look like there was a way to step inside the grounds because it is privately owned. (Besides, I learned AHS only use
