The sunsets can be really serene and beautiful. There can be a lot of mosquitos April through October so be sure to bring bug repellent.
Beautiful Place to Walk on trail and fun to fish, most fish were very small, fun for kids to have a net and catch small fish. Plenty of space to fish
I truly love Bountiful Lake. There is a beautiful walking trail around the lake. I also really enjoy fishing there as well. I don't think I remember a time that I was fishing there and walked away not having caught at least 4 to 6 fish or more. Ice fishing there is fun also. I consider this a great lake for many reasons. There is a covered gazebo there as well as brick restrooms 🚻.
Appreciated the opportunity to stay here with our group. Beautiful pond and view of the sunset. The mud swallow nests had fallen all over the tables in the pavilion, so we swept them all off. Even got out the blower. It is near the little freeway, so there is typically some noise.
Nice place to get away from the city, relax, walk around, see ducks, geese, heron, and the occasional muskrat. We enjoy watching people fish, there's always people there. Some people even take their kayaks on the lake. A couple of pavilions are set up for picnics and BBQs. Even more benches are spaced along the trail. And a restroom can be found right at the parking lot.
Nice. Quiet. Calm. Plenty of tables for lunch or dinner with friends or family. I seen a few people fishing even a group of young boys. Basic drop toilets with no running water or electricity. I had fun wading in the water on a hot summer day. I found a great spot all to myself with plenty of room to feel like I was alone even though I knew I wasn’t. lol. Definitely going back. Which I had a canoe to go out on. It would be even more fun! The also have docks to make it easier to get in and out of the water.
Beautiful Lake & Wildlife refuge. Great Lake to take your Kayak, Canoe, SUP, Float Tube, Fishing Pontoon (Kick Boat), Peddle Boat, Inflatable Raft, ect. Also a Great Lake to go Swimming & Play in the water there is a beach area for that just keep in mind to Swim at your own risk there are no Lifeguards on duty here. Great place to enjoy the Wildlife & birdwatch or go fishing. It’s one of the best fishing spots in The State. There is also a paved trail that goes around the lake that’s great for Hiking & Biking. It also brings the best views of Nature & Sunset for Photography & Landscape artist. The Lake is full of Fish such as Rainbow Trout, White Bass,Wiper, Bluegill, Panfish, Bass (Large/Smallmouth), Catfish,extra. Really quiet location for being a community park right next to Legacy Parkway. Beautiful Sunsets & views of the mountains to the east. It makes you feel like your out in the wild.
