Absolutely and easily the best gym experience I have ever had. I look forward to my sessions each week and I always feel great afterward. The coaches are very kind and knowledgeable, and the space is well-maintained and clean. Boston Underground Strength Training is an excellent gym that provides an all-around great experience! The thing that initially drew me to this gym was the semi-private strength training. I've done some strength training in the past, but I have a hard time motivating myself to exercise in a self-directed way, and I've also been somewhat intimidated by open gym settings—so having that element of a structure and guidance from the coaches was exactly what I needed. Having a new workout plan crafted for me each month based on my goals and progress is amazing and keeps things fresh, and it's so motivating and reassuring to have the coaches there with me as I train to give pointers on form and how to do each exercise—and occasionally give a gentle push or make a modification—without judgment. I've been a member for 6 months now, training once a week, and it has had such a noticeable positive impact on my physical and mental health. This was the most valuable thing I've done for myself all year. Highly recommend!

"What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" One of the best investments I made in myself in the past few years has been joining Boston Underground Strength Training for their semi-private training sessions. The pandemic shutdown (along with a serious lack of discipline) had contributed to my loss of conditioning, so I was looking for a place that could help me gain it back. I was so fortunate to find this gym! The coaches assess your current level of fitness and then, through a tailored-to-you program, work with you to increase your strength and stamina. They listen to your goals (mine was a somewhat nebulous "I want to feel better") and encourage you every step of the way. My sessions here are highlights of my week! I've been working out with the coaches at BUST for six months now, and feel better than I have in a long while. Every four weeks, the workouts are changed so it is always interesting, and the workouts are challenging, but in the best way! There is no judgement here, only encouragement and enthusiasm for your progress. The gym is spotless, there's plenty of room so I don't feel crowded, and it's a very enjoyable atmosphere to work out in. I highly recommend BUST to anyone looking to take their fitness to the next level. You will not regret it.

I have been working with the coaches at Boston Underground Strength for maybe 3-4 and can absolutely see the difference in my performance. They are kind, attentive, provide excellent feedback and offer great alternatives if some moves don’t work for you. I just moved to training 3x a week (from 2x week) and I’m looking forward to seeing what my body can accomplish.

Joining Boston Underground Strength Training has been one of the best decisions I’ve made! I first joined during a really busy period of grad school where I was working long hours and had a constantly changing routine. It was so nice to know that no matter how busy I was, I would always be getting at least two workouts in each week! I’ve been training with them for 6 months and feel like I have my body back and am stronger than ever! The coaches are so kind and professional and they’re always able to provide adaptations to the exercises when needed. I also really appreciate that the community isn’t focused on weight loss, rather getting strong and feeling good for life. I feel like I lucked out in finding this gym and will continue to go for a long time!

I loved the strength camps at BUST! I’ve been scared to try strength classes for years, but the coaches and classes were enthusiastic, positive, and attentive, with none of the “no pain, no gain” attitude I’d been afraid of. I was only able to take classes for about 6 months, but they’ve made me stronger, more confident, and given me the knowledge to keep strength training on my own. Strongly recommend!

TLDR; I truly appreciate all I’ve learned and how I’ve grown in the last eight months. Thanks to the coaches for helping me navigate this! For context, I’m someone who values self development (mind, body, and soul), but the body part wasn’t where I wanted it to be 8 months ago. I was tired, and I didn’t have the stamina and flexibility I desired. I’d tried other gyms in the area over the last few years, but none educated me, supported me, and provided me enough of a change of pace to keep me mentally engaged. My first day was humbling; I think the coaches were mildly concerned I’d sneak out the back door, haha, never to be heard from again. But I made a commitment. That commitment coupled with the empowering atmosphere made me excited, and I showed up the next week right on schedule. Four months later, I increased my strength training to twice a week. It felt right. I wanted more. At no time did it feel like an obligation or frustration. I looked forward to seeing improvements and learning new things. I was even making new friends! Once you are in your 40s, you know that’s a big deal! Eight months in and I’m feeling pulled for three days! I’ll be out of state for the holidays, which makes me miss BUST already. January will be here before I know it. I don’t give out recommendations willy nilly. But Boston Underground Strength Training gets my highest compliments. Come visit and take them for a test drive, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with who you’ll become.

This place is one of a kind. Even though I'm in for a tough workout, I look forward to each one. The coaches have created an environment where I feel confident to pursue my fitness goals without judgment, free to ask questions, and secure knowing that they will push me when I need it, and help me rein it in when I need that. Not only are the coaches experts in the moves and techniques, which maximizes each exercise, but they always take the time to when I get there to make sure I'm feeling good and ready to go. Whether it is back is feeling tight, they make sure to address it at the start and keep an eye on me throughout. If I haven't mentioned the coaches enough the last thing I will say is they are some of the genuine people I've come across who care about me and my goals. I know if I come in and dedicate an hour to them, I will leave feeling exponentially better than when I went in.

I am just finishing up my third month at Boston Underground and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience thus far. I came in with zero gym experience and have progressed beyond my own expectations. I was extremely nervous about my lack of knowledge and experience at the gym, but since joining, I have become comfortable in the space and actively look forward to every session (something I never thought I would say). The coaches are all amazing and make Boston Underground a welcoming space for everyone. They want to see you succeed and will push you to achieve the goals you have set out for yourself. I’m happy to have found this community and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in joining!
