Never stayed in a hostel before so I’ll preempt with that. Hostel was easy to get to, in a diverse neighborhood, near public transit and all the basic necessities. Hostel staff was friendly and property was kept cleaned and stocked with basic toiletries, minus toothpaste (at least from what I saw). Can’t find a better value in this city for room and board either. Now, as stated, I’ve never stayed in one of these so here comes the cons… The bed was very thin and uncomfortable. The guests staying there were all fairly antisocial, which is a bummer because I was hoping to meet some interesting travelers. I had a shared room and though they have AC, one of the roommates refused to use it… it was 86° and humid. Somebody else in the room also had horrible BO. I would absolutely recommend for people who frequent these types of establishments. I would even stay again in a room that wasn’t shared. A+ for staff. B- for neighborhood. C+ for overall comfort
I had a wonderful experience. They are very homely, prices are exceptional. Great host, peaceful neighborhood, comfortable, intimate nice sized room. Comes with everything a hotel can offer but with manners and also care. I give this Forever five stars. Victor helped with everything, very polite and kind. Not to mention they accepted my beautiful cat midnight. Pet friendly and fantastic
Absolutely the greatest deal in Boston, in my opinion. Located right next to the red line JFK statiin( 3min); in a quiet area in a typical Bostonian home. Super clean, with all necessary things provided- blankets, towels, coffee, tea, books, maps, fully stocked kitchen! I stayed with my teen daughter and have saved a lot on accommodation thanks to this hostel, so we could afford extras in our trip. Very grateful, keep up such a great job!
I booked the caravan and it was nice , I liked the experience, the price is fair so don't expect nothing fancy, be realistic, Boston is an awesome and friendly city so the staff. I would definitely stay here again, is a place for sleep and rest, not a party hostel. Is very close to the subway, there is a share kitchen is clean the staff really try to keep it clean. There is security cameras also and the neighborhood is nice. Very close to downtown, is a very pretty downtown indeed!
My staying was fine, I liked Boston, in the hostel there is a kitchen to cook some easy meals and a fridge, the place was nice and clean, nothing fancy but cozy. The guys who work here are helpful and nice. There is some good vietnamese restaurants close and some good japanese restaurant in the mall near by. There is some rooms to share and some private rooms, my room was clean. I would come back
The place is very clean, the staff very kind and trying their best to be helpful. The location is a bit out there, very close to JFK/UMASS, I don't feel too comfortable walking alone late at night near the Homestel, even though it's probably safe enough. That's about the only drawback of this place.
The hostel is cleaned daily. Cleaning and hygiene products are available in the bathrooms. There is also plenty of cooking and lounging space. Employees are very friendly and speak several languages.
I stayed here for a week and it was very comfortable, cozy and clean. The girls who work here are very nice and helpful, and the house is close to the subway, there are many places to eat close by, I can recommend a sushi place in a mall close to.
I never thought I'd enjoy rowing, especially in a class workout setting since I love working out by myself and doing my own thing. But this has been such a pleasant surprise and I love it!! The instructors are great (all women, woo!) and it's been so
