Borrachito Taqueria & Spirits - Taco restaurant in New York - 206 Avenue A, USA

Ordered the chicken burrito and found 3 black pebble-sized hard objects when I bit into it. Before anyone says these could be ungrounded peppercorns, they are not. They have the consistency and texture of actual rocks. They were hard and when I pressed them against my kitchen counter they did not break up into smaller pieces. Potentially charcoal? I'm not sure and I don't care to find out. This presented a huge safety hazard and I will not be ordering form them again.

Got these to go (restaurant doesn’t have indoor seating). Food was well packages and so tasty! I ordered 5 tacos because I was told they were small but they’re actually quite filling and I could only finish 2

A hit or a miss. When it’s at its peak, the short rib oxtail birria taco is unmatched and melts in your mouth with amazing, rich flavors. The past few times I’ve gone, (usually on a weekend) it’s been tough and stringy and a bit flavorless. I don’t know if it’s different chefs, cheaper meat, or a changing recipe, but I really wish they would be more consistent. The bouncer told my friend to smile once so not psyched about the service.

LOVED this cute little set up with a hole in the wall order with sweet little booths on the road for outdoor / covid-safe dining. I LOVED the two tacos I got, the mushroom and vegan chorizo — so tasty!! Absolutely would recommend both. The salsa was solid, the chips were good. Food came out so quickly and service was very friendly. Would absolutely come back again.

We came here for the Christmas pop up and while the food and drinks were good the service was terrible. The staff very clearly didn't want to be there - we could hear them complaining a lot, the music was not at all festive and the decorations, while cute, weren't lit up etc. Just fell a bit flat for the expectations.

The taco bar inside the Garret East on Avenue A. They make their tortillas in-house and it’s on the thicker side which I like. The menu is small and not all the items are always available. They just started doing Tecate beer + popsicle float and now you can order your tacos with a fried egg on top for brunch

Borrachito is around the corner from my apt and I stopped there for a quick bite before running errands. I had the short rib tacos and they were yummy. As you can see from the pics the tacos are quite simple....corn tortilla and short rib meat in it's stew sauce, that's it. 3 sauces to choose from are added on the side. The tacos were tasty, but not quite filling as a lunch...(unless you ate at least 4-5 of them!) But as a quick snack to hold you over they're perfect.

It's a GEM in this neighborhood! Bone marrow tacos are delicious!!! Around 2-3 tacos are really enough per person and they are decently affordable + a nice small menu. Also for a gluten-free option, they make corn tacos but you need to give them a heads up! If you want to have a full experience then they have a little secret bar.. hmm what's that vending machine for there.. and of course the best staff you could ask!
