My husband took me here last night as an early birthday celebration. It was our first time there and we had such a wonderful time at the wine tasting event. Wine and food pairing were excellent!! Decor was amazing. We enjoyed it all. We also had the best servers! Nicole and Presley were both sweet and attentive. We will definitely be returning!

We were in the mood to try out a new restaurant so we quickly found this spot. We had never been here and did not know what exactly to expect, but I can tell you that we were definitely not disappointed. Our server Presley was absolutely fantastic. She made recommendations off the menu and help guide us through the perfect culinary experience. We tried the Brie raspberry special of the week and it was one of the best things that we have ever eaten. This dish could easily be a dessert or an appetizer. In fact, I would be inclined to order it for both. The perfect start and finish to a dinner. The drinks were also excellent. I tried a couple of different cocktails and wasn’t disappointed on any of them. My main dish was very good and Jared my husband loved his tuna tartare. We will definitely be back to try out more of the menu and are super excited to know that they change the specials every single week always with a seasonal focus. Thanks to everyone at the restaurant for a great date night. I highly recommend you all check this place out.

August 23rd 2023 My husband and I decided to check out the restaurant based on the google reviews on a whim! The place felt like a hole in a wall. Tommy, our server, was phenomenal! Although he was the only waiter at the time, he took great care of us. The food was fantastic and we can't wait to go again.

Swang through Bora to check out the offerings at this newly opened lil spot with a menu that's a bit different than most of the other places around.... Stepping inside they have updated the decor and the ambiance feels a bit more upscale than past establishments that have called this location home. The layout is open and a bit on the dimmer side but overall nice. We went with the smoke fried korean pork bellly n shishito peppers to start Butternut squash soup and for a main the butternut squash ravz of course lol The pork belly was legit with these fried noodles that added texture... the soup was really good and the pepitos where a nice touch The shishitos were good but could use a pop of acid The ravioli were as very good.... the fried sage had a nice pronounced flavor and the sauce never broke so all n all a win. Food was very good, through I was expecting just a bit more with the upscale pricing, still a good meal and a place I'll stop by again.

HIGHLIGHTS: -Top 3 ALL TIME - 1st Class Service - Affordable Gourmet Level Food - Inviting & Fun Ambience - First let me establish some qualifiers. I am in no way related to the owners. Also, I’ve been eating out multiple times per week my entire 25 year adult life (18-43) & enjoy excellent food… TOP 3 BURGER OF ALL TIME: I love burgers and this one could contend for my personal #1. Cooked to well done mouth watering perfection! No pink, yet very succulent. Masterfully charred without any burnt taste. Delicious grill marked brioche bun. Juicy full cuts of bacon at just the right thickness. Crisp, fresh veggies (& not soggy - i hate soggy). Perfectly cooked and very tasty shoe string fries (McD’s style). Came with Bora’s “Secret Sauce” which made the whole meal a knock out of the park. Bravo Bora staff. 1st CLASS SERVICE: Greeted with a smile by every staff member encountered. Pleasant and eager to please. Quick and efficient bagging of steaming hot entrees. Expedient payment processing. A+ AFFORDABLE GOURMET: considering a Big Mac meal is now $11-13, getting a gourmet quality burger for $16 is an absolute steal of a deal. Especially in this inflated economy. Easily a $20+ burger. FUN AMBIENCE: the entire establishment is tastefully decorated for the Christmas holiday season. Felt like being at a high end amusement park themed restaurant. Walls, mirrors, doors and tables all done up beautifully. Paired with jazz type music and an amiable staff, it’s a total win. Very comfy. CONCLUSION: Eat here TODAY! We must support our local small business entrepreneurs and restauranteurs! Nothing worse than seeing a great food spot close down from lack of patronage. Best part is hard to decide on, but if you want a mouth watering, gourmet meal that won’t break the bank, BORA is your new favorite spot! I highly recommend and will be eating here weekly (at a minimum 😉)

We were looking for something between where we are in Thomaston, and where my sister is in Danbury and happened to find Bora in Bethel. The menu looked really good so we decided to try it for our night out. We arrived earlier than them due to some errands in the area so we grabbed a barstool and ordered a cocktail while we waited. I ordered the ‘blueberry boulevard’ from their special list, it had gin, blueberry, vanilla, lemon, cherry bark vanilla bitters… what a tasty drink! The cherry bark bitters gave it a little autumn spice flavor. We moved to a table and ordered some wings for an appetizer and 2 of us shared the kale salad they had for a special. Both were excellent starters. The kale salad had feta, dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, kabocha squash with apple cider vinegar -perfect fall salad! For entrees we ordered; mahi mahi, chicken Milanese, braised pork shank, and rigatoni. All the entrees were delicious. The risotto with the mahi was very tasty and paired well with the fish. We had to order some dessert because everything just sounded so good! We decided on an apple crumble and a pumpkin cheesecake. I’ll definitely be back to this restaurant! Great cocktails and really delicious meals! 100% recommend!

Nice brunch spot. Waitstaff was very accommodating for our group. Very attentive and we felt catered to. Very eloquently decorated for the holiday season. Try the cider Mule for a festive drink. We devoured the cheeseburger eggrolls. Dined on BBQ pork belly, overeasy eggs, cheddar cheese hashbrowns and white toast. Can't go wrong with the dessert either. The super gooey rich dark chocolate lava cake (very messy, use a napkins for a bib). Not to be outdone by the creme brulee. The perfect sound of the spoon cracking the torched sugar means it was done right! Can't wait to return.

The service was very pleasant with the staff friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was that of fine dining. The food was flavorful but a little over cooked. The bacon wrapped chicken bites for the appetizer were extremely dry but had good flavor. The prime rib was over cooked but well seasoned Next time I will order my steak a level down from what I really want. Overall the meal was a delight. I would certainly go back again.
