This is a MUST!! Perfectly restored Route 66 motel that is a perfect combination of old and new! I reserved my room and they already had the radio playing for me when I arrived in the room…..such a nice touch! |Just to note because I didn’t know this: you check in at the building next door which also has souvenirs. |The room itself was very clean and smelled so good! They give you a small bar of eucalyptus soap and it just permeates through the room. There are no luxuries like a tv, microwave or mini fridge, but that’s the point! Back to the basics of how it was back in the day! Love it! |You can park right in front of the door to your room in the covered parking area or in the parking lot if you choose.

We did a 10 day/10 Night Route 66 trip (Boots Court was our second night) and Boots Court was our absolute favorite! We arrived a little late, and they were incredibly helpful and responsive for late check-in to our room. It felt like the ultimate stop for Route 66 - it was both a 'frozen in time' motor lodge experience as well as an updated and clean place to stay for the night. I love the hardwood floors - a nice touch as most hotels have carpet. I will never forget the feeling of opening the door, seeing the clean and cozy room, and hearing the radio playing. When my friends ask about our favorites from our trip, Boots Court is always mentioned.

I stayed for two nights on a very hot weekend. The window unit kept my room at the preset 72 degree temperature. The room was quite clean and the bed comfortable. While small, the room was efficiently arranged; the make-up mirror nook doubled as a laptop table. Flat space in the bathroom is limited, but the towels were top quality - thick and fluffy. A notebook with laminated pages provides excellent information on the town's attractions and local restaurants.|Rooms 1-8 have drive-thru parking, large enough for smaller SUVs. Since 2 rooms share each drive-thru, you'll probably want to back in. The other rooms have at-the-door parking, and there's also a parking lot.|While the motel doesn't provide breakfast, a breakfast/lunch cafe is in easy walking distance. The visitor center, just to the south of the motel, has snacks & souvenirs (the sign on the original office door says to check in at the visitor center but doesn't tell you where it is - I hope they clarify it).

This was a great find on Route 66. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The nostalgia factor is worth the stop - the room key is an actual key and your in-room entertainment is a radio. We'll make it a priority to make it back on future trips!

Wonderfully restored Motel!! It may not have all the amenities of a newer chain hotel but if you’re looking for the experience and ambiance of a vintage Rt 66 motel, this is it! We stayed in one of the “newer” rooms (the annex added a few years after the original building) and it was large and spacious with all the comforts needed. I especially loved the chairs both inside and out for sitting and reading rather than having to lay on the bed. Location is great and parking right at the room made loading and unloading easy and convenient. Jeremy was a great host and gave us some wonderful recommendations for local eats and activities (Lucky Js and Red Oak II) and graciously shared his time to tell us about the town of Carthage, the history of the motel, and some fun Rt 66 facts. If you’re looking for a vintage motel in your Rt 66 travels, don’t miss the Boots Court Motel!

Delightful stay! A lot of character in these little rooms. We arrived later in the day and received checkin info via text before staff left, they were friendly and helpful. It was a great place to stop for a night. I’m a very light sleeper so travel with a noise machine, which did help to sleep as we were in the first room by the road and there were some louder cars. The blinds are also not blackout so a little bright but we ended up sleeping fine. The bathroom is packed with character, but quite tight with not much counter space and small shower (still fun, only sharing in case this is an issue for your needs). Overall, the architecture was so unique and having the radio on was a delight! Everything had a ton of charm. In the morning, we tried to stop by the visitor center which ended up being closed that day. While we were sitting in the car outside deciding what to do next, a member of their cleaning staff saw us, let us in, and helped us purchase a few souvenirs! She truly went out of her way to help and it was so appreciated. A small gesture but helped us complete a keychain collection we started on Route 66 - not a big deal to be missing one stop, but made our day!! Overall, great place to stop for the night if your expectations are accurate for what is offered (vintage boutique charm in a small town with friendly people, not a predictable hotel chain with certain conveniences like 24 hour staff on site, mini fridge etc.). P.S. a travel tip if you’re arriving coming from the West, we stopped at Pops on the way and it was delightful to crack open a bottle of soda from the cooler when we arrived!

They are old school burgers haha - it’s been around forever, more of a locals place I think. But I enjoyed it! The hamburgers are more like sliders so order a couple or a double burger if you’re hungry :) Employees were so nice and helpful!

I met my friend for breakfast and we ended up taking up this corner booth for over two hours. I haven't seen her in mumble-mumble years so we had a lot of catching up to do and on a Sunday morning, our waitress didn't mind that we sat here this long.
