We started with Boonya earlier this year after our previous IT guys retired. They came highly recommended by some of my peers. Mike is attentive and no task is too small. Eric and Jake and the support staff have been helpful as well. Onboarding was a cinch and they made sure all our security/malware protection is up to date. Our office houses over 50 workstations, and we utilize their remote servers for additional data storage. I appreciate their willingness to work with small business by taking a team based win/win approach.

We were clients for 7 years. We used to think Boonya was good, we thought they were managing our services and security as contracted, and we thought they were looking out for us. That is until we found out they weren't.
You don’t know what you don’t monitor. That was our mistake with Boonya. We trusted them and they crapped all over us. That’s what you get for being “a valued client” for 7 years.
Between June of 2017 through February of 2024, we paid Boonya A LOT of money, nearly $350k. It appears Boonya ownership was (is) more interested in managing our money than they were our systems and security.
Our practice has 16 work stations. Not one had a current security update or patch installed. Some dated back to 2021 (it’s now 2024) since the last security update. In all, there were over 200 patches on 16 computers that we had to install to get our systems secure and back up to date. This was part of Boonya’s contractual obligation. Clearly a fail by Boonya.
Our Dentrix server was running on Windows 2008 (again, it’s 2024) – a platform that is no longer supported or secure. Our server had not seen a security update in 18 months – a device Boonya had 100% control over.
No one from Boonya had been on-site in 2 years. We had multiple pieces of hardware that were either dead or not working, including an access point for wifi and the battery backup for our server. My new IT company (Phoenix SecureIT) found these hardware issues in less than 10 minutes after being on site for the first time.
Bottom line - Boonya did not take our practice security and safety serious, and they left us with open holes in our systems, prime for hackers and other vulnerabilities. We got lucky - it apparently was only a matter of time. I’d bet they don’t take your systems serious, either. If you’re reading this, we hope you are not the unlucky one.
I would not walk – I would run away from this company as fast as you can. At the very least, look at your systems and check the updates.
Security in Dentistry is more vulnerable than ever before. Find a company who will take and protect your valuable assets like they would their own - it’s not Boonya.
One point to clarify – this review has no reflection on their help desk staff. Matt, Joseph, Jake, Trent – all good at putting out fires. Unfortunately, they have to report to a management team who has no vision, no values, are reactive not proactive, and have no concern for their clients. At least that’s how they represented our dental practice.
Our office has been working with Boonya since we opened in 2019 and have been very satisfied with their responsiveness. I'm confident in their ability to help during isolated IT incidents, consult on technology purchases, and keep our information safe and secure.

They are quick to respond when we have a need or a concern. We are so thankful for them and would highly recommend them. You won't regret hiring Boonya.
