I enjoy walking around, it's calming if you like the water and current sounds. It's nice to sit on rocks and relax as well, bring a book, snack etc

Absolutely gorgeous place to stop and take pictures. Port o potties need cleaned more often, very nasty.

Great place right around the corner from where I live. There are shallow areas to sit in by the rocks or deeper areas to to tubing down the river. I love to bring my dogs there. There are a couple of trails to walk around and then we splash around in the water for a bit.

A nice place to Soak your feet on a warm summer evening.

Had a blast! Was in Maine for the first time for an event and we all had an amazing time!

One of my favorite summer spots. The water is lovely and it's quite beautiful from the foliage and the views of the skies. I've been to the actual rest area once and it was nice to just sit in the shadow water and relax. Some people bring chairs and place them in the water to just let the river run over you. If you know 'the secret spot' it's great for teaching kids how to swim in some of the shallow rock-enclosed pools. I won't post it publicly (what fun is that?) but I've met tons of locals from the area who know where it is so ask your friends or online!

Great spot! Trash is carry out so a lot of people leave things like beer bottles and food wrappers in the ground by the river which is unfortunate.
