Bonnie Dwaine Bed & Breakfast - Featured Reviews (43)
We just had the BEST experience here! My sister and I took my dad and his twin brother on a road trip for their 80th birthday, and this was our designated home base... it was PERFECT. Bonnie was warm and wonderful and had great suggestions for food and events in town, and the place is GORGEOUS. My dad and his brother felt so comfortable and at home - they loved their clean, comfortable, beautiful rooms and it was a perfect place to sit and talk at the end of each day, on the beautiful deck or in her beautiful sitting rooms. This place has Bonnie's touch in every detail, it's very clear how much she loves her business. I HIGHLY recommend it, we hope to come again before long. It truly made our entire trip more enjoyable.
I've stayed at the Bonnie Dwaine annually going on 16 years now. Bonnie is the sweetest. The place is quite clean. The rooms are gorgeous. Bonnie no longer makes breakfast herself but has a continental breakfast which is fine. The location in on Route 2 but no surprises here. It can be a tad trafficky in the day but it is convenient to everything. Stay here with confidence.
Bonnie Dwaine B&B is very beautiful for overall appearance. It would be fine for a night or two, but I stayed for almost a week in the Grisell room. My family had booked 4 out of the 5 available rooms for this trip. The mattress is firm, VERY firm. I'm a side sleeper, and my hips felt bruised by the time my vacation was over. The beds could definitely benefit from a pillow top or something to soften the mattress a bit. I'm also concerned about overall cleanliness. The shower curtain was beginning to turn orange on the bottom, and there was an actual fabric curtain outside of the shower. The doiley that tied the curtain back was becoming discolored as well as the doiley on the table next to the shower. Why is there an unsealed wooden side table in the bathroom? I'm sure it has soaked up its share of water, and I'm not sure if they ever considered it could grow mold over time. There was a runner going across the bathroom floor that I worry about soaking up water as well. There's a lot of furniture throughout the B&B. Like every single corner is taken up by something. A lot of fake plants as well that are growing cobwebs. The pieces that hold the carpet in place on the staircase were coming undone. Wallpaper, especially in the bathroom, is starting to come undone in places. Two of the rooms also ended up getting AC units because the air conditioning wasn't working properly. The breakfast was also pretty disappointing. There was no hot food unless you decided to toast a bagel or microwave a packet of oatmeal. Not great by the third and fourth day. There is a beautiful gazebo out back by the parking spots, but it was covered in bird poop and had a wasp nest. We wiped down the benches to sit and informed Bonnie about the nest. There's also a cat that lives there for anyone who has an allergy. The windows are painfully thin so you can hear every single car that drives by, and they're off a main road, so there's a lot of traffic. Overall, it appears beautiful, but maintenance is lacking. I'm sure if we had stayed a few years ago our experience would have been better, but for this trip, everything just felt subpar.
Everything was wonderful as always. The room and the house was spotless as it is every time I have had the pleasure to visit. I so enjoy staying at the Bonnie Dwaine and hope to keep staying there when I am in the area. I would highly recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for a safe and wonderful experience.
We would recommend Bonnie Dwaine's Bed & Breakfast to anyone who wants to stay at a home away from home! Our experience was amazing! Bonnie was so kind, caring and accommodating to our needs. It felt like we were staying with a relative instead of at a business. Our room was comfortable, beautifully decorated and had all the extras you may need while traveling. We will definitely be back!
Great B&B. Bonnie was fantastic and everything felt very homie. Rooms are great too.
This B&B is spotless in every way. The most comfortable and well kept B&B I’ve ever seen. Hospitality was amazing - recommend 100%
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in August 2022. Every inch of the inn is lovely, spotlessly clean, quiet, and well cared for. It is fun to explore and we were lucky enough to see every room, since no one else was there when we arrived. Each themed room has beautiful furniture, including small couches and/or sitting chairs, desks, dressers and closets. The decorations are gorgeous - lamps, vases, pictures, books - so much. Each room as a small refrigerator and microwave, clock and well, everything you could need, so many extras. ||||The public areas are also amazingly beautiful with exquisite lighting fixtures and lamps, elegant furniture and lots of items to see. Since it was beautiful weather we didn't spend much time inside, choosing a wrap-around rear porch instead. Bonnie sat with us, amid flowers, a view of the Ohio hills across the river and the setting sun as we shared a glass of wine before dinner. ||||Breakfast on Saturday was an extended continental treat with tasty breads and a lemon cake, hard boiled eggs, fruit, cereal choices and little treats. We enjoyed our coffee and juice outside with our breakfast and didn't want to leave. |||| Bonnie was so welcoming on the phone as we finalized arrangements and her love of hosting guests was clear. She is a delight as a hostess who shares just enough interesting information, and also knows to be quiet. She met all our needs and made us feel so comfortable. We hope to return!
If you like good beer and that old school feel, this it s the place to go. To many different beers available to list. This is s family run business and Annie not only makes you feel welcome but she knows her beer. This is a must on the list of places
We visited The Landing, we went today for wing night. All of our food had come out in 15 minutes, and we did order quite a bit. We had 5 orders of wings, each a different kind. We also got yingling fries, hot pepper cheese balls, and fried pickles. E
