Bolete is hands down one of the best restaurants in the valley and chef lee is probably the top chef in the valley. These dishes were from quite some time ago but I was going through my phone and realized I never left a review. Even though this meal was from a long while ago it still remains a fond memory of one of the best meals I had. We started with a smoked sturgeon appetizer and fresh local tempura vegetables. They were both phenomenal light and delicate and did their job to get us excited for our main course. We had day boat scallops and king salmon. Both of the dishes were fresh and perfectly cooked. They were so balanced and well composed with each ingredient complimenting each other. The portions were way larger than other fine dining restaurants so you definitely wont be leaving hungry. It is pricey but you are limited where you can get this level of dining in the area.

This is going to be a strange review because I believe Bolete is one of the best restaurant experiences in the Lehigh Valley. My wife and I have dined at Bolete before but this was our first time having brunch. It was our first time seeing the restaurant in daylight and the atmosphere was amazing. The cocktails were fantastic and it definitely makes sense that Bolete and Mister Lee's are the best for drinks. Our server made great recommendations and was attentive and pleasant. First course was fantastic. Oysters were perfect as always and I commented how clean the shells were. My wife had a beautiful hearty squash soup. My only complaint was the main course. I had a dish using fried Oysters and my wife had duck hash. There were only two tiny oyster medallions and my wife couldn't find the duck in the hash. Basically, the only distinct item were the fried potatoes. To sum up Bolete is a fantastic dining experience but do not expect value for the money.

We have always wanted to here and was able to get a last minute reservation on a Thursday night. The place was packed. The food was absolutely amazing and met the high expectations we had going in. I had the beets salad and the seared duck, both of which were amazing. The complimentary dinner rolls were soooooo good. We also had the butterscotch pudding which was good as well. The drinks were pretty standard. Our server, Jessica was amazing. This is definitely a place to consider for a nice date night. Highly recommend it. A 9/10 on my personal rating. Apparently they have a good brunch on Sundays which we have to try out sometime.

The food at Bolete was nice but did not leave an impression. The flavors did not pop—they were either very standard or muted / muddled. Given the accolades and the price point, I expected more. The crisp delicata squash was the biggest surprise. Each component sounded so good, and the cooking seemed fine, but the flavors blended into a hazy nothingness, none of the ingredients asserting their own presence. It was merely nice when I expected to love it. The indoors seating area has terrible acoustics. I wanted to get out ASAP because everyone’s conversations bounced off the walls, creating a loud and noisy echo chamber. The outdoor seating area sounds like a much better experience during warmer weather.

We’ve been coming here for about 10 years. Before we moved to the Valley we used to drive to Bolete from Brooklyn for special occasions. It’s that good. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Nothing else in the area even comes close. Food that’s so good it surprises me again and again. Service that’s usually impeccable, and on the very rare occasion that it’s not (when it’s super busy) apologies are made and bread or drinks are brought. The music is fantastic too — it’s actually one of the first things we noticed. And how could I forget the cocktails!? Delicious and inventive. We enjoy dining on the more casual and cozy bar side of the restaurant and we’re glad they have it. Gold stars all around!

It was a joy to discover this marvelous restaurant. We went for brunch and sat outside in their outdoor patio. Our waitress Jessica was so accommodating, along with the dining room manager. Jessica provided us with the best service that we’ve experienced in a long time. They checked with us to ensure the music was not overbearing, which I thought was very kind. Jessica was also on point in her cocktail & food suggestions. The timing of everything was perfect! We were in the mood for a relaxed brunch and we found this at Bolete! The dining room manager also brought out a journal dating back to the mid to late 1800’s, which was such a treat to see. The cocktail menu was creative and they offered a wonderful selection of wine and local beer. The four of us were all very satisfied with our very unique crafted cocktails. As far as what to order for brunch, there was no wrong choice! We were all very satisfied! Bolete features lots of local delights, including locally foraged mushrooms, which are featured beautifully on their menu! We walked away, knowing that this was not going to be the last time that we would dine at Boulete! We cannot wait to return for dinner!

Just outstanding. I’ve wanted to try Bolete since we moved to the Lehigh Valley almost 8 years ago. We went to celebrate my birthday last week and it lived up to— no, exceeded!— expectations. My salad tasted like spring. My halibut was perfectly seared with an amazing blend of accompanying flavors. “The Remedy” was a great drink. My husband’s vegetarian sampler was outstanding. All so good. The perfect farm-to-table special occasion restaurant that is super nice without being at all pretentious.

I ordered a scallop aguachile and the Maine lobster roll. They were both great and delicious! The scallop aguachile was felt fresh and flavors were gentle and balanced. The crispy quinoa gave it a texture that I really liked. The Maine lobster roll was delicious too! The roll was freshly made and added flavor to the dish. Definitely would recommend!
