The rooms are clean and I like the hard surface flooring in this hotel rather than carpet. Front desk staff was pleasant, and check in and out was painless. The pool was nice but there were a lot of people in there. My room was in the tower section and the walls were very thin. It was very difficult to sleep. A family next door couldn't control their children who were running up and down the halls and slamming the door, even playing a game of slamming the door repeatedly. I was considering speaking with them, but obviously they didn't care about other people. Even normal people walking through the hall were really easy to hear. The bed was pretty hard and also very noisy. I didn't sleep well at all. I wanted to enjoy this place, but I was a little disappointed. I highly suggest ear plugs.

Had a wonderful experience for the 3 nights we spent here. We absolutely loved the indoor rooftop pool and hot tubs. Rooms and pools were super clean. We stayed in the tower and there wasn't the common musty smell as in some hotels in the area. I'm severely allergic to mold and pets so this was a concern as we haven't stayed here previously. We arrived and I had no allergy issues! So grateful we chose this hotel. Room service cleaned and restocked the rooms daily. We brought our own coffee pot as we were told there wouldn't be one upon booking over the phone. Thankful they let us know in advance. 1 block from boardwalk. We rarely moved our car to go anywhere. The tower is completely handicap accessible with plenty of space in room to store my mom's mobility scooter. The downstairs restaurant food was amazing as well! We will absolutely stay here again!

I just had the ABSOLUTE worst experience with management. My brother booked a room for Feb 1 - 4th and our father is passing. We where told end of life this week and to prepare. I explained this to the manager and did my due diligence to find out if there were still vacancy on the room my brother purchased and plenty of these particular rooms were available. I tried to cancel, and the manager was probably the worst person I've ever spoken too in customer service. I don't know how he even has a job! He asked for our fathers last death paperwork? I told him he needed sensitivity training me and he the audacity to me, I need the sensitivity training. He needs to be FIRED IMMEDIATELY!!!!! I would never recommend anyome stay at this location due to the complete disrespect from Management until this man is relocated to another location, because I wouldn't feel safe for even myself or children staying in anywhere with him in the building!!!

Every year we visit the Bolero for my son's Birthday. 1/19-1/21. We always request a suite in the Tower so that we don't have to walk out into the cold after visiting the beautiful, indoor, rooftop pool. This year, the friendly front desk woman quickly changed her demeanor when I asked to confirm that we were on the poolside. Seemingly annoyed, she aggressively batted at the keyboard and snapped “There's an up charge, just so you know, IF it's even available” I was taken aback. Side note: She was fine up to this point, we were laughing and joking so I was shocked. I tried to explain that I spoke with someone 2 times earlier this week (I was told that it was not an issue to have a tower room) and we have done it this way without issue since I always call in advance. She rudely cut me off mid sentence and repeated “this was an on line booking, this was an on line booking”.. not allowing me to explain that I spoke to someone, she literally kept cutting me off repeating the same phrase, each time becoming more and more condescending. I kept my cool, surprisingly. The hotel was mostly empty, due to the weather and being January. I didn't want to start the weekend off poorly so I said ok, I didnt mean to cause an issue. We will take the room given. Her reply was “Fine”. I was fuming with the remaining attitude. Her behavior was not warranted at all. Mind you, the hotel was near empty. We were put on the outside second floor, to climb slippery stairs, walk an unsalted sidewalk, all with 2 kids. Meanwhile, there were rooms inside the tower that I didn't care about the upcharge. There was a nice gentleman outside who helped us carry our bags upstairs that we were grateful crossing paths with. It was actively snowing all weekend. The manager Tom was very nice. Although, I do feel that he was given some sort of heads up from the front desk girl to ward off any negative response we may have offered him. We didn't. Initially, the first interaction with Tom felt uncomfortable but that could have just been my perspective. As we settled in, maybe he recognized that we werent the bad guys. Tom went out of his way to Interact with the kids and even gave them a ball to play with. He made the kids laugh and gave them special attention. We truly appreciated that because it made us feel more at ease. The indoor pool, sauna, and hot tubs are a huge selling point to this hotel. The spa area was uncomfortably cold. We were literally shivering. Previous years it was comfortable, this year it was not even close. The winter rates are about ½ compared to in season rates. Still, for over $400 the receptionist should have a little grace, especially to returning customers. Needless to say we are strongly contemplating ever returning after 5 years of doing so. It's a shame but nobody should be made to feel that way. I'm very organized and look forward to this trip every year. I tip well and leave the room spotless. I do my part but felt like we were under a microscope our entire stay. The experience was sub par at best compared to previous years. Being placed in an outside room in the snow, and the attitude from reception, deterred us from going to the pool as often and restaurant. Thumbs down this time. As for no smoking on premises with an additional $100 fee to ensure that you don't.... the smell of weed was over baring and constant!!! The mouse traps under the beds threw me off as well.

This was our first time staying at this hotel and I have to say it was a very good experience. The staff was very polite and professional. Shot out to Matt at the front desk for helping us with our last minute extra accommodations. Our room was very nice and clean, we definitely enjoyed ourselves at the pool and the drinks at the bar were on point. The location is perfect (only 2 blocks away from the boardwalk). We had stayed at other places but this one is by far the best and we will definitely come back.

Went to bolero for a new years vacation package that they had and it was a great time. Dinner and breakfast was included there was a band there every night. The rooms have been recently renovated and we’re good the only thing is they could work on water pressure in shower but overall it was a great experience.

I thought the hotel was great the staff was outstanding the pools n hot tubs were clean . The bars were great . The rooms were clean . The only thing that I would change are leaving little bottles of shampoo n conditioner n body wash other than that I’ll definitely be staying again. I do have to say that Tom was my favorite I honestly only saw him once in the days I was there but he was friendly helpful has a great personality and does a great job!
