Well maintained camping area. Very popular place especially on long weekends. Get there before noon if you want a spot. Plenty of wildlife to sit and watch. Squirrels can be aggressive if you leave your food out. Make sure you use the bear boxes. Good for tents, rvs, and vans. We even had a good cellphone signal (ATT).
We woke up to baby deer everywhere. We went hiking and there were lots of big trees. Definitely must go see how beautiful it is.
I like this place. Nice and quiet, a dozen sites with water, bear boxes and picnic tables. Good hill climbing hiking. Doc told me I needed to take my trail hiking speed down a notch so I do some rockhounding along the way. Flocks of turkeys, herds of deer mosing around. It is bear country. It's a few days of relaxation.
We were unable to get a spot earlier last week - April (it's very popular, especially with birders) but the ranger told us to try Monday or Tuesday after noon and we were able to choose from 3 open spaces, though only one would have been available for an RV. People in RVs will happily stay for the 14 day maximum, though you can go down the road to the much more remote Proctor campground and wait for a space to open up. Proctor offers dispersed camping, far from the neighbors, but it's lower elevation and in shrubs instead of trees. At Bog Springs, we noticed that the RV next to the toilet relocated to another spot when we were packing up, so it's not hard to get an ideal space if you have time and patience. We only stayed one night and had a great site in the back (sites 9 &10 by the Dutch John Spring trail are tents only). Each site has 1 or 2 picnic tables, fire pits, access to potable water (wonderful!) and ample trees to shade you or to hang a hammock. The campers across the street were camping in the hammocks. As it's getting hot in April in Arizona, it's lovely to be at this camp site that is in the low 80s during the day when it's 90s in Tucson. It dropped to the mid 40s at night, which was perfect sleeping bag weather. In the morning, we were visited by turkeys and deer strolling through.
Clean and quiet. You can hike forever. The birding this time of year is great. Our only concern is with only 12 campsites And a first come situation there are those that set up camp then left- taking away availability. The day we arrived 4 sites were paid for but no occupancy. Day 3 and still no campers.
Excellent campsite. Very quiet and only about 25 minutes from stores. Stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights with my dad and loved it. Didn't hike bogs spring trail because there were a lot of other trails to hike arount there that we didn't have time. All camping sites have running water near or on them, clean bathrooms, fire rings\grills, trash (bear proof) and a bear proof box to put away food for the night. Really impressed.
There are 13 campsites suitable for tents/RVs (no hook ups available), first come first serve basis, there are no reservations. $20/$10 with pass. Campsites are spread out and quiet (when I was here). One pit toilet (M/W), concrete tables and fire grills. Several water spigots, was able to park on the road to fill my freshwater tank. Camped in 20’ Class B, not level but not bad. Campground fills quickly on weekends, but I found a site mid week. Hiking trail access from campground, I hiked Bog Springs Trail and Dutch John Trail. Would definitely stay here again.
There are only a dozen plus campsites which includes water, trash containers, and food storage (so the occasional bear visitor won't get into it.). Great, quiet and relaxing scenery. $20 per night. There is a host there to help, and basic bathrooms for men and women. BYOS (Bring Your Own Shower) and no electrical hookups. Get there before noon, even on weekdays...the campsites fill up fast. Photos are of scenery on/near the campsite.
Great quality pizza and salads. You can pick out any fresh toppings for your pizza or salad. Pizzas quickly made in a few minutes. Quality food at reasonable price. Nice service. Clean restaurant. Indoor and outdoor seating. Really nummy "mod cakes"
This park is very clean. They have a really nice playground area that works for toddlers and kids. They also have an area to play games like football or baseball, a trail, a skate park and multiple areas for picnics. This place also has bathrooms whi
Fantastic place to talk a walk. Handicap accessible and very family friendly. The walking loop is just under a mile, but it's still great. Flat, even and well maintained concrete walkway. Lots of birds. The lake is regularly stocked and lots of peopl
Red menudo was on point. Great place for breakfast. The bar looked loaded, and it could be a nice place on a Friday Saturday night for dinner and drinks.
One of the most organized Ross stores we go to in green valley and they never let us down I go for all the automotive things they always have and mainly for there microfiber towels the best deal on them compared to any store that carries them but the
I'm iimpressed with this store, it's a fairly large store with a really good selection, if you use the electronic coupons you can save quite a bit...... It's honestly one of the nicest Safeway I've been to...
