Boardwalk Beach Hotel & Convention Center - Hotel in Panama City Beach - 9600 S Thomas Dr, USA

This place is horrible. Made this reservation through Agoda. Horrible experience all around. I called after booking to confirm a double bed and told them that I would be traveling at night and would arrive early in the morning around 5 am. I arrived about 6 am and checked in. By 630 I was checking out. When you first open the door to the room the bathroom is right there at an angle to the point you almost walk in to it once entering the room. The pictures on the site are as old as the hotel is cause it looks nothing like. The mini fridge was leaking and there was a puddle of water from it going under one of the beds. The floor was stained to the point it had been there for days. There was mold in the bathroom. There was hair on the bed. There was what looked like snot on the walls. When checking out I was told I had to go through Agoda to get a refund. They had me send pictures of the accommodations and even a receipt at hotel I ultimately did stay at. I did all that. Then the runaround starts. Both sayin the other has my money and then they offer me a refund of 1 day as only booked the other hotel for a day. The Hilton Homewood where I stayed was kind enough to waive the early checkin as I was there by 7 and had been driving all day. Don’t stay in this dump. The Hilton had a large suite with a full kitchen. Friendly staff and excellent all the way around.

The room was great because of the view of the ocean. The bed was great. The couch was comfy to sit on. The noise for the area wasn't anything to complain about. The front office staff were great upon check-in. 🙌🏻 my only complaint is the fact I found out they do not mop the floors or at least haven't the room we stayed in for awhile. My husband had spilt some sprite and I wet a towel and wiped it up so we didn't have sticky feet or floor. I ended up wiping the whole floor surface areas where we would be walking around the most and kept a towel down on the bathroom floor. The rag was from the coffee table...

We checked in 7/3/2024 - 7/7/2024 and our trip was AWESOME!!! The firework show that the Boardwalk put on 7/5/2024 was spectacular! I have never seen a firework show so great and they had a big screen up on the beach with a movie for the kids. Hotel check in staff was super helpful and friendly. I don't know why this place is getting such bad reviews. Our room was clean, no bugs and no mold or bad smells. The beds were okay the pillows were really nice. We stayed in room 2438 on the Gulf side and woke up every morning to see the ocean. I was super happy with the entire stay. I took my large, German Shepherd and we did have to stop housekeeping in the morning for new towels and toilet paper but that was ONLY because I had listed on my room to NOT enter because of my dog. I will definitely book here again. For the price and the location it is a WIN - WIN!!!

Make sure you bring the kitchen sink, this Condo unit #0201 ready disappointed. Needs updated. NOT VERY clean. The floors, you could feel sand under your feet. We literally had plates, cups bowls, silverware. the knives were poor. Don't plan on cooking much. the pots were terrible. Had to even bring S&P. Only provide one roll of toilet paper. NO BEACH chairs. We bought them and left there, but I doubt, they will be left for the next renter. have stayed at many condos, NEVER have I ever stayed were you thought you were in a Hotel. Most condo have plenty of extras., as previous renters will leave their extras for upcoming renters. We saw cleaners hooking the left-over paper products. there wasn't even dishwasher pods or dish soap, which is very unusual. the Couches were dirty. we covered with blankets. WOULD say this is owned by corporate, nothing personal there. Pics are The pool was great and the building was clean. the one spa didn't work. Security is present most time.

Second time coming, won't be back. First time there were mix up with reservations, and the young lady at check in had no idea what she was doing so it took forever to get checked in. And then today...had to come into town for work and decided to stay here again because it was pretty much my only option. Within 5 minutes of entering my room I notice there is sand on the floor. That had me started to investigate the entire room. I found red smears on the sheets and wall next the bathroom door (pictures as proof) , even more sand on the bed sheet you sleep on (had to call for a ne bed sheet. was greeted with attituded from housekeeper). That tells me they made the bed, but didn't care to change out the sheets or blankets. Sadly it didn't stop there as the entire room smells strongly of mold. This tells me that with all the water from the pool and the ocean the hotel isn't keeping up with proper cleaning procedures. The hotel tried to cover the smell with over powering air freshener, making it difficult to breathe. I'm stuck here until my job is done, and they can't get me a different room. Wow! At this point I'd rather sleep in my car in the Walmart parking lot. Oh, and the TV...every channel is so fuzzy it's hard to make out what your even watching. Someone should investigate this hotel. ||Photo in review is of unknown red substance that was discovered on bed sheets right next to the pillows.

My family & I booked a trip to PCB and decided to give this place a shot! After reading the reviews we were a bit worried about how our experience would be. I am currently staying here & it’s not as bad as the reviews make it seem. I have NOT seen a single bug (roach or bed bug) just to make that clear. The room we are staying in is pretty clean besides the bathroom & doors need some work (Doors are dirty and need to be repainted) and the bathroom tiles ABSOLUTELY should be replaced with the nice wood style vinyl that the rest of the room is covered in! I do believe they could clean the floor better because there was sand on the ground and under the bed but let’s be real we are right next to a beach so that can be overlooked! The AC works great, TV is small but mounted in the perfect spot, Beds are really comfortable, Mini fridge works great! Wi-Fi is actually amazing & the view is beautiful! The pool is clean and at night the pool area lights up great and leaves such a nice late night vibe. Overall a decent place to stay for vacation & wish the best for this hotel as I see the potential it has.

I was pleasantly surprised at this place especially after reading some bad reviews! We took our two little dogs on their first vacation and they loved it. My only complaint was that the microwave wasn't working but I didn't report it. We were only staying 3 days so no biggie. The rooms were nice, the staff were very nice and helpful. I loved the boardwalks and the beautiful landscaping! We will definitely stay here again!!

Start of vacation was today. Was super excited to check into hotel room and get ready for a day of fun. Within 5 minutes of entering our room we noticed the floor has sand all over, the room smelled moldy to the extreme and was clearly trying to be covered up with air freshener which made it worse, there seems to appear to be a red smear of some kind on the outer bedsheets near the pillows on one of the beds and close to bathroom wall (photos have been taken for proof), and the bedsheet you sleep on.....mine has sand all over it, yet the bed was made as if to appear to have had the bed sheets changed. Clearly they were not. The TV channels are all super fuzzy and can't see what your watching. I will never be staying at this hotel again. Unacceptable.
