Bluebird Dog Park - Park in Ellisville - 225 Kiefer Creek Rd, USA

Located at the back of Blue Bird Park, there are 2 nice sized dog areas here. The have all the amenities you might expect from a dog park. They have a large open flat area of artificial grass for playing fetch. The back part has tall trees and real grass. There are several benches and a special foot triggered watering station for the dogs to drink. Parking is very convenient and wheel chair/scooter accessible. My dog had a great time off his lease meeting the other dogs.

This dog park is relatively small but nearly all the dogs are extremely friendly. The large dog area has AstroTurf, which is good much of the time. I avoid the AstroTurf on hot days because it gets too hot for the dog’s paws. It is slippery too. The turf may not be good for dogs with hip, ACL or back issues because slipping can cause further injury. (Just a bit of caution needed.) The park is clean and has water fountains for the dogs. It is near hiking trails that my dogs enjoy also.

Love this dog park. You must be registered and your dog must have all required vaccinations. The dog area has a security code to get in for registered users. The secure area is surrounded by walking trails and fitness stations. So if a good walk and work out is what you want, then take your dog for play and socialization.

Great dog park! Only complaint is that there isn’t any lighting at the dog park or in the parking lot outside of the dog park. Not only would it be nice to have the lighting so you could enjoy the dog park longer durning these shorter daylight days but there really needs to be lighting for safety reasons.

Wonderful park. Great for the dogs and so many trails to walk them on as well. Bluebird has free concerts and a stellar 4th of July fest. All around a great family park.

the disc course was difficult terrain because of all the leaves, very treacherous. Long 9 holes. Was my first time there, likely won't return till spring. Very nice park though, has dog park also

The dog parks in bluebird are built very well. I was a little disappointed at the quality of the grass though. Turf was used in the main area, but the outer rim of grass was very torn up and muddy, making it a little hazardous for anyone walking over it. My dog had a blast though.

Shouldn't it be called premium bluesbird dog park? You have to pay $40/year to use(!) Other than partial astro turf in the large breed side, nothing special other than it is located in one of the best parks in St. Louis. You have to sign up online, wait to be approved (not clear if you have to live in Ellisville) then pay to get a code to enter. Pffffft.
