The room was neat and tidy and a perfect temperature. The check in / out was super easy and the staff were lovely! The bed linens were clean and smelled fresh. Shower worked well, there may need to be another longer shelf in the bathroom for sundry items (lotions, contact cases, toothpaste.) The hotel is close in to where I was headed, so that was nice as well. Easy to find, clean and well kept, will definately stay again!
Absolutely love this place! Cheryl and Pete were so nice to us. We were met with great hospitality from the both of them, and even laughed with the two of them while Cheryl was on the phone working out our booking! I recommend this place to anyone that wants a good deal, incredible service, clean rooms, and quick and easy access to Lake Tahoe.
This isn’t a luxurious hotel (it’s really a motel) but it it’s one of the best values you’re likely to find anywhere. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The hosts are lovely people, and the hotel is right across the street from the marina and within walking distance from shops and all the South Shore hubbub, so what more do you want? If I find myself at Lake Tahoe again, I’ll definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
While this is an older motel, the rooms are clean, the beds are really comfortable and the staff is so friendly and accomodating. Great S. Lake Tahoe location too close to the beach and all the great restaurants! (Plus Casinos if that is your thing) Brought my small labradoodle and she was welcomed by the dog loving staff.
Great location, friendly staff, clean, fun BBQ , fire-pit and yard games, good wifi. Right across from beach at lake- will be back. We also appreciated being just far enough out of downtown to not have to deal with the crowds and drunks around the casinos- very safe
Our stay at Bluebird day was just what we needed. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, AC - everything we could ask for after some beautiful hiking. Not to mention, the service was amazing. Cheryl was so kind, and willing to help us with whatever questions we had. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We chose this place as its convenient, had good parking, and is dog friendly. It’s right by the bus stop that takes you free to gondola base which is a huge plus.
The prices were high for the quality room but that’s just south lake I guess. The room was fine but not great. The bed was large and comfy.
There is a good deal of “landlord special” maintenance and cost cutting going on here. Limiting breakfast and front desk staff is not offensive but I would like to see the black hairs cleaned off the shower walls before I check in, and the toilet with the loose water hose that swings around and sprays out the side of the toilet when flushed wasn’t pleasant.
Also, we had only 1 of each type of towel per person for a 2 night stay, very very small cosmetics available and only bare minimum.
Would stay here again but would be happier if it wasn’t obvious where they were cutting costs
Place is older but seems to be maintained well. Rooms clean, beds were comfortably. Manager was nice. Decent price considering the location.

The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great.

Great experience. The hotel is well located near restaurants, supermarkets, shopping, and beaches/trails. The rooms were well remodeled and quiet. Check in was very modernized and easy, and the staff reached out the night before (and the day of) to m
We stayed in the Rubicon Room and it was lovely. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was wonderful and we absolutely loved the lodge, the roaring fireplace, the big beams, and the gorgeous courtyard. Well worth it!
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
The Mt. Tallac trail is an amazing trail to hike in Lake Tahoe. It isn't easy, about 4.5 miles from the trail head to the summit with about 3,300 feet of elevation gain. The second half of the trail is mostly all rock and is very steep in parts. The
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
