I did a morning 2 tank charter with the Blue Wilderness crew and it was awesome! The team and captain were super personable and upbeat throughout the morning, gave thorough dive briefings and split the divers into two groups (beginner and advanced) which was much appreciated as this allowed our advanced group to check out some cool swim throughs and enjoy a longer dive. Our guide Sam was great and the Mac nut cookies provided between dives were delicious. Looking forward to diving with them next time I’m on big island!
My family of 5 went on the Manta Ray dive adventure in January 2023. There were NO manta rays that showed that night! Ok they have no control but still disappointing. Instead of refunding our $700+ they said we could come back anytime and that they would take care of us. Well, we came back again in January of 2024. It is an extremely busy time of year I get it but they NEVER returned my call. Finally, when I got them they showed NO interest in making good with what they said they would. "Sorry, we're full" or "we could take 3 one night and the other 2 the next". Well, who wants to do that? NOBODY on a family vacation! We decided to go in person to the store thinking that we'd get somewhere but were greeted with a VERY rude cashier/reservation person who was quick to say "Sorry you should have called us sooner"! (I did answer your phone!) and couldn't have cared less!
BE CAREFUL when booking with this group! You won't get your money back and the guarantee for another year is GARBAGE!!
Did a one tank manta ray dive with Blue Wilderness and it was a great experience. The team thought out the dive. The team puts out lights while you’re getting briefed. Then you drop to a sandy floor around 15 - 20 depth as manta(s) swirl through the lights and are right on top of you. At the end, the dive master puts a wrist light on each diver to ensure divers can be spotted as we come up. BCDs are put on and taken off in the water. Couldn’t be easier!
The Captain and April were fantastic! Our experience was spectacular! April was knowledgeable regarding the manta rays, she even knew their names. The Captain and April made sure we were comfortable. April gave us some tips on local places to visit. My husband and I had a wonderful experience and it will be one of our most memorable. Blue Wilderness, hands down is who peeps should book their manta ray experience.
My wife and I got open water certified with Blue Wilderness and it was a great experience from start to finish.
I can’t imagine having a better instructor for the first two days than April. She brings tons of energy and attention to detail, and is an inspiration under water. My wife and I felt very safe and taken care of as we awkwardly adapted to the scuba process.
Day three was when we finally put it all together and had a great day of diving with Sam, who was a very calming and reassuring presence.
Boat captain Steve was a delight to be out with. And the boat itself was so fun to dive off of.
We had a blast and would recommend/dive with Blue Wilderness again.
Our tour guide April, diver Fantastic Sam and Captain Colin made this one of the best experiences my husband and I have ever had. We were blessed to see 4 Manta Ray which was so unbelievably breathtakingly cool, I’m so glad we went. I was so scared and April made me feel safe and she was so welcoming. We are so glad the locals recommended for us to do this, it was life changing. -Sarah
We did a multi-day dive with this crew around Puako. Overall a great experience. Among dive masters Flipper stands out but all are awesome including Sam, Chandler and April. The boats can be a little tight but they make up in experience and choice of diving sites. We also lucked out and ended up diving w 2 pods of dolphins the day before last (this did NOT bias my rating). We had a fantastic time and would definitely return.
We did the Two Tank Morning Dives on two days.
The crew was very friendly and decided on the dive sites depending on the conditions.
Putting on the diving equipment in the water was a new experience, as there is limited space on the boat. But it worked very well and the guides were always helpful.
Our DM Flipper looked after us and did a great job.
A refreshment after diving in the shop is also recommended. The freshly made sandwiches, hot panini and pizza were good.

Bobby's beginner yoga flow class was outstanding! There were so many different types of people in class. Over 5 teenagers that I think were from a swim team, moms, dads, young, mature, seniors....Bobby caters to just about everyone who wants to have
I visited this most amazing GJâs Huli Chicken by pure chance and let me tell you- THE BEST CHICKEN I HAVE EVER HADâ-HANDS DOWN. Initially- from the roadside, we saw the rolling smoke as the chickens were being cooked, then decided to stop and see
Beautiful canyon. We could not view certain parts due to fog. The waimea lookout was completely not visible the day we were out there but I hear itâs beautiful on a clear day. We were still happy with the parts we saw. A beautiful scenery and drive

Awesome customer service the food is delicious and vegetarian friendly. The spicy veggie ramen was 10/10 and the toasty onigiri was the perfect texture! We will definitely be back.
We had such a great time here for dinner! The vibe was on point and service was friendly and quick. We got a flight sampler and some food. Food tasted great and priced reasonably especially compared to a lot of places on the Big Island. Parking was l
Excellent park with picnic tables and a stream! Kiddo loves chasing the chickens and there is a short trail (about 1 mile long) to walk. Trail pretty well maintained and no big hills.
This is a super interesting place to see if you are interested in learning about Hawaiian history. There are a lot of ruins here. I wish there was a bit more information available. The area is very open and you are free to explore the paths, I donâ
Don De Luca's is hands down the best Italian restaurant on the Big Island. The service is wonderful, the food is tasty and comes to two portion sizes (half and full), and they, of course, have a bar service. The Chicken Marsala was amazingâthe chic
