This place has the perfect atmosphere and decor for the NJ summer down the shore! If temperature permits, grab a seat in the covered outdoor dining area among the tastefully landscaped planter boxes, in order to get the full effect. The menu is eclectic enough for any taste. My brunch selection was a Greek omelet, which was perfect! Even the crispy, deep-fried potatoes were a treat. The short stack of pancakes was too much to finish. The cakes were fluffy but a little dense in the middle. Bottom line- Blue Water Cafe is definitely worth a try on LBI!

Every summer when we are on LBI this place is a must. The food is always great. The French fries they make are some of the best I've ever had. Today, I wasn't as hungry as I usually am so I ordered the skirt steak salad. Delicious as expected. The service is always professional and attentive.

I’ve had positive experiences here in the past dining in. But you get completely scammed with takeout. I ordered the skirt steak and Cuban shrimp salads. Neither came with crispy onion strings as listed on the menu and both were extremely small. Appetizer sized for the average adult. The shrimp also smelled and tasted rancid/very fishy. We weren’t able to eat. For $25/salad I’d expect far better. Very disappointed.

We really enjoy breakfast here and perhaps it's due to it not being too crowded, however our dinner wasnt anything too great. The wait from apps to dinner was over an hour, it was actually so long that the waitress brought out two orders of garlic bread with apologies each time. Our crab nachos barely had crab meat and the tortilla chips were stale. The risotto was also under-cooked which threw off the texture. I did enjoy the crab cake dinner, plenty of crab and the mashed potatoes were well paired, but overall it's nothing special on very busy nights.

Lobster bisque was soooo good the chowder was really good but we personally prefer other. Can't go wrong with the steamed clams and the picnic platter was refreshing. I got the crabs cakes and subbed in garlic mashed over lobster mashed. All very foot lots of meat. My boyfriend got the cowboy steak special. He enjoyed it as well. The staff is very friendly and works their butts off. The atmosphere is very laid back and clean. We went on a beautiful sunset evening. Wed go back and recommend for sure. The owner definitely cares about his business.

Delicious breakfast and dinner options -- we dined here twice in one day! Service was excellent and everything was cooked to perfection. The heated outdoor patio was perfect for Covid safety. Definitely visit this place!!

My apologies about the half eaten food pictures. I have eaten many meals there but most recent we went for breakfast. Everything was delicious and filling. The service was great and it was nice sitting outside. I got a poached egg on English muffin with porkroll and bacon. 👌 Coffee was alright.

Very pricey. The food tasted good, the waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable but my shrimp wasn’t deveined properly and there were flies in the dining area and the crashing sounds of dishes from the kitchen took away greatly from our dining experience. However the manager was super kind and gave us two free delicious desserts. Thank you for handling matters in a professional way.
