The food was average. Nothing spectacular. The fries were mushy, greasy and needed to be cooked longer. They initially forgot my fries with one order. The wait was about 30 mins, when I went ask about the food it was just sitting. They forgot about me. I'm not sure we will be back.
Walk in and take a step back in time!! This little hole in the wall burgers and more diner is a hidden gem in Graniteville, SC . The customers and employees alike are both welcoming. The food was done and to us literally in 5 min!! Our waiter needed to be a bit better with people skills but the cook in the back was awesome!!! Will go back again.
This is a cute little home town diner with exellent hamburgers and hand cut fries. They also offer home cooked meals such as meatloaf, shepherd's pie and a variety of fried shrimp and fish entrees as well. The service was excellent and the prices are amazing.
If you're local - don't bother reading this. If you're visiting, don't sleep on the Blue Top Grill. You're not going to find any place like this, anywhere. If you distilled home made, southern diner, and local, over proofed it, and then Large Hadron Collider smashed that into a food experience - you'd get Blue Top. I had the BLT with Slaw. It was exactly that. No weird spices, no variation on a theme, no exotic bread, no fancy production style. Just, good. And they have that awesome crushed ice you can't seem to find in this day and age of clear icecubeness. If you're not from here, keep in mind, they speak southern, move at the speed of however they want. They don't have vegetables on Wednesdays. They have both types of tea. Everything is original. Legit, real food.
This is a true local secret. The BlueTop has been around since the 50s and continues to serve some of the best burgers around. However, it isn't in a good area and has very limited parking. Going at off-peak times is recommended.
Heck yeah! This place probably hasn't changed much since they opened in 1951. And why would they? Simply delicious food served by friendly folk in a laid back atmosphere - it's a winner. Will definitely return to try more items. The burgers were fantastic and the fries were perfect. The chili and slaw are perfect on a burger. Wanted a slice of pecan pie but I was stuffed to the gills. Note: I didn't ask but this does not seem like the type of place that would be food allergy friendly. Not that they wouldn't want to be, but that kind of old timey kitchen just isn't set up to avoid contamination. And since a large percentage of the menu is breaded and fried, I would definitely not recommend it for someone with celiac.
Excellent food, to die for fries, best ice tea in CSRA! Reasonable Prices and a waiter who knows what customer service is all about and worked his butt off all night.
Love it. Take the drive. It's the kind of place I always hope to find. Food is great with big portions at a reasonable price.
The oxtail was delicious. The rice was full of flavor. And the cabbage was great side to round out a wonderful lunch. Staff was friendly and genuine. I am now a fan of Jamaican ginger beer.
