Great coffee. Great atmosphere. Absolutely loved the vibe if this place. The Employees are so nice and sweet! My go to Latte was made with absolute perfection. Shout to the lady playing the harp. She played so beautifully and made this the experience all the more awesome. Highly recommend coming here. Definitely one of my favorite coffee spots 😋
I got 9 items from the pastry case. Under flavored and under cooked. The owner is really friendly and works hard. She seems to be the only person working so waits are long. I only went twice and I won't be going back.
All the pastries and bagels are amazing, the coffee is fantastic there's so many flavors to try and all the non diary options you can think of. Bernadette does a fantastic job and it is always worth the wait for the care she puts into every individual order and cup she makes.
Went to this coffee shop on the whim and absolutely fell in love. Respected what they do and the quality of service that the lady provided me. Atmosphere was very down to earth and homey and other patrons were very hospitable. I will be pop them through there again when I go back through Bakersfield

This little gem was short lived. Something must have happened because they are always closed. Never open any more. The lady that worked there was sweet but after I saw police there and it barricaded off a few weeks ago it has not been open.
Update/Reply To Owner - That is so horrible to hear. Sorry you are going through such turmoil. Maybe consider joining the Downtown Business Association? I believe they have an agreement with a security company that offers security at a discounted rate for members. =)
My boyfriend and I lovvvvved loved loved the coffee! The stafff was great and friendly very very cozy in there .
The owners are the most kindest and politest people! Loved the Sugar Free Raspberry Mocha!!
Not only is the coffee delicious here, the staff is super sweet. There are a few little coffee places popping up around Bakersfield that we really enjoy, Blue Oak definitely being one of the best! One fun thing about this coffee house is there seems to be a lot of community involvement. I went in today and they had paints and things out (for kids I think) and on our first visit they had a community piano out front.
In addition to their coffees and teas, they always have a delectable array of freshly baked goods which they bake on site. Today they had HP inspired cookies, funfetti cookies, chocolate chip cookies, linzer tart (which is super yummy, I got that last time!), a variety of scones (both savoury and sweet), and bagels. I want to mention again-the coffee is phenomenal.
I have only been twice so far, the first time was about a month ago, with my boyfriend. Today only I came in and placed both of our orders but the owner remembered us and his order! (nothing crazy that would stand out, either. Just an iced mocha with a splash of half and half.) The fact that the proprietor remembered us is an exceptional detail; that level of service is astounding.

Stopped for dinner in Bakersfield on our way to San Jose. We enjoyed some pupusas - shrimp for hubby & loroco (squash flower) for me. The chicken tamal was very fluffy and had more of a spongy texture. The plantain empanadas were very rich and creamy
