I had a wonderful stay at the Blue Heron Inn. The home is lovely, spotless, and decorated perfectly to reflect the history of the house. The location is great, right in the heart of the historic area. Rebecca and Charles were perfect hosts and made me feel so welcome and comfortable. Rebecca‘s “things to do” and restaurant recommendations were excellent. She is an amazing cook and served a delicious gourmet breakfast each morning. The pool in a lovely garden area is an added bonus. I will definitely return!
This was our first ever stay at a bed & breakfast, the bar is now set incredibly high! The Blue Heron Inn is a fantastic B&B with the perfect location on Amelia Island. This historic home is meticulously maintained and beautiful, we were comfortable from the moment we arrived until we left! Charles and Rebecca are the nicest of hosts who communicate very well and are more than accommodating for all of your needs.|The rooms are super comfortable and the breakfast each morning was delicious. Anytime we come back to the island there’s no doubt where we’ll be staying. Thank you Charles and Rebecca for a beautiful stay!
Beautiful house! Very clean. The bed in the Heron room was very comfortable. Shower water pressure was excellent! (My only caution to older people or people with issues stepping over a high tub side is that the Heron room requires you to be nimble to get in and out!) The Inn is walking distance to the little downtown area, restaurants, and shops! The owners are very sweet and helpful!
Blue Heron Inn is perfect in every way. The charm, the cleanliness, the coziness and the location! Charcuterie and wine for happy hour and friendly faces welcoming you in and making you feel at home. The owners Rebecca and Charles are consummate hosts who have thought of everything. You might see Charles cooking up specialty pancakes and soufflés while Rebecca is chatting with the guests and pointing them to the next restaurant or evening activity, many of which are literally steps away from the front door. Two things are certain…Blue Heron and it’s owners are fantastic and we will be back!
My wife and I were visiting friends. Never having gone to Amelia Island before I happened upon the Blue Heron Inn. Arriving after normal check in was no problem. | What an exceptional find!! We were taken with the warmth of the whole place. Meeting Charles and Rebecca the next morning along with the other guests was like a family reunion!! The morning breakfast and coffee was superb. Neither my wife or I can express the sincere gratitude for the time spent with such wonderful hosts. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Recently took my wife to stay at the blue heron inn @ameila island . My wife and I were welcomed late Friday afternoon by the family that owns / runs the inn. They were warm , welcoming and friendly. They even kept their children up late so they could greet us and show us around / give us the key to our room , after that they gave us great recommendations for local spots to eat and drink at . Our room was spacious and had its own bathroom that overlooked the back yard . The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of bedding. The bathroom and shower were nice and came with plenty of towels , soaps , etc. On both of our mornings one of the owners made us a delicious two course breakfast , and waited on us hand and foot with food and drinks. I would recommend anyone to stay at the blue heron inn , it’s was the perfect weekend get away for my wife and I , and I don’t think we could have found a better place to stay for the weekend.
The Blue Heron Inn on Amelia Island exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The accommodations were charming and cozy, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring the island. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the delicious food served at the inn. Every meal was a culinary delight, showcasing fresh, locally sourced ingredients and expertly prepared dishes. The attention to detail and personalized service made me feel truly pampered throughout my entire stay. I can't wait to return to the Blue Heron Inn for another unforgettable experience!
I love Amelia Island and The Blue Heron is Simply the best Bed and Breakfast on the Island!! I highly recommend it. It's the only place I will stay when I visit. Charles and Rebecca are wonderfully attentive host. The location is perfect and convenient to everything. If you are looking for a charming place to get away choose the Blue Heron Inn.

So beautiful & peaceful! Plenty of parking, very clean! The boardwalk is the nicest one Iâve ever seen. Well lit. We loved exploring around all of the tide pools. Lots of sea life: giant horseshoe crab, many different species of fish, lots of birds
