Blue Dolphin Inn & Cottages - Motel in Grand Isle - 2504 LA-1, USA

i loved my stay here! it was quiet and had a cute beach vibe. the man who checked us in was sweet and said we could call him anytime if we had a problem. there was wifi, TV’s in each room, super comfy beds. there was a small issue with figuring out the heaters, and it was a little musty when we arrived. but after running the heaters and fans it was better in no time. there’s an area to walk right to the beach and it’s nearby a few great restaurants. also a short drive to the state park. it was awesome. i would definitely return!

Water pressure in the shower was suspicious. Everything else was fine. May need new shower head.

Nothing but bad experiences. The owner is a joke. Me and my family stayed at their “ocean view “ property and it’s not much of a view. No biggie, but the fact the place is INFESTED WITH BED BUGS I WOULD NOT STAY HERE! THEY HAVE BED BUGS!! Do not stay here!! Owner is very unprofessional and not willing to help in anyway

They don’t allow early check in, no biggie. We booked a 2 beds and a couch and had a party of 4 . They gave us 2 towels and said “Its not the Hilton”. And we were COVERED IN BED BUGS. The owner acknowledged this and said we probably brought them. NASTY NASTY NATY and Horrible customer service!

Cabins were extremely clean, the staff went out if their way to be helpful. Loved the view and the beaches are so close we could walk. The beds were comfortable and the Kitchenette had everything we needed . I highly recommend the place and we will be staying for longer next time . It also has WiFi. Can't say enough good things about it!!!!

These are mainly small cottages with two small bedrooms and one fold out in the living area. We had trouble with the volume on one of the bedroom t.v.s and the t.v in the kitchen did not work. Other than that they were clean, fresh, and updated on very windy beaches. The best advice I can give is to preplan. The office for the cottages is down the road from the actual rooms.

The rooms were clean and quite comfortable. The kitchenette was stocked with all of the needed basics, and my family of four (both kids teenagers) had plenty of space in the two bedroom with futon. AC in each room was very appreciated after hot days on the beach. The owners were warm and friendly, quick to give us tips on places to eat and a reminder to let them know if there was anything we needed. They acted surprised that a family from MN would decide to vacation on this small coastal island, but it was perfect. This relaxed, small town was exactly what we needed after a week of bustle in New Orleans. We will be telling all of our friends to check out Grand Isle, and check in to the Blue Dolphin Inn!

A girls with our teenage daughters was perfect! We stayed at one of the cottages and found it to be simple, perfect, clean and a 2 minute walk to the beach. We made the beach our priority as there isn't much else to do here if you aren't fishing. We "lived" at the beautiful beach. Everyone associated with Blue Dolphin was happy, kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Remember, this is not fancy, but its perfectly wonderful, clean, safe and perfect.
