Blue Dog Pizza | Tahoe Stateline - Featured Reviews (1372)
9/8/23 A person in one of my travel groups suggested this pizzeria. I had saved it to my list of places to check out before I even came on vacation to Tahoe. Lo and behold, it was right down the street from my hotel.
Super friendly staff! Front end and cooks were extremely nice and helpful. The pizza was a little more than what I would’ve paid for at home but it was so delicious that I didn’t mind. Any place that allows me to put cilantro and pineapple on my pizza and not judge me is worth it in my books. Large pizza was ordered for me and one other- plenty for us to take back and have for dinner later (the plan). Bought some cookies and brownies to take back. Haven’t eaten them yet, but the looked super sweet and yummy.
Welcoming and friendly service. When crowded. One person should find seating and one person wait in line to order. Food will be brought to the table. I suggest trying the Sandos. I enjoyed some coloring while waiting the food. 😊
We came while on a ski trip about 4 years ago and I told myself to write a review because how great the pizza was but I never got around to it. We went back just a few weeks ago and decided to stop by again. It was that good that I remembered. After this experience I promised I would write a review this time. We actually went twice this time. Being from Chicago, growing up around Italians and working in their restaurants my husband is super picky about his pizza and he really enjoys the pizza here!! We got a sausage and green pepper pizza. The first night was a calm night. Everything was great and delicious. The second night after searching for a place to eat we just decided to go back to Blue dog since it was close to the hotel. It was slammed, super busy and no open seats. I never seen it that busy. Since the pizza was going to be a while we decided to wait. I have to say how amazing the staff was and how hard they were working all as a team. As someone who used to work in the industry I was very pleased and impressed. It makes it so much better. All I could say is maybe have a better system for seating people when its that busy because people came in after us and were beat us to tables because as soon as they saw people finishing up they were right on top of them even after we told them there were two parties that were waiting before them but they didn't care. I couldn't do that because I feel its rude and would hate it if someone did that to us. It was upsetting but it is what it is we just waited. The staff were trying to do their best. Over all we were very pleased with the food and service. We wish there was a pizza spot like that near us now that we live in texas. We really like this place.
I am a huge pizza enthusiast and the pizza here really didn't satisfy my expectations. The wings tasted frozen, and the tater tots were over cooked. Also to add, the wings were boneless and had absolutely no flavor.
This is not gourmet pizza or anything special pizza in my opinion. I am surprised how good the reviews are since the pizza is quite small and expensive for the price and the pizza is acceptable at best. My guess is people don’t know good pizza who gave reviews. Save your money and try and different pizza joint. The workers were all friendly in a positive note.
Stumbled by chance upon Blue Dog after some time on the lake and what a wonderful find.
Started with a half cheese/ half pep cause if you can’t make that you’re doing something wrong.
Great crust, perfect amount of pepperoni, piping hot. Second pie was half “Hair of the Dog” and Blue Hawaiian.
I could have eaten the entire thing myself. So good, and yes, it’s ok to have pineapple on pizza.
Great service, great atmosphere, just a little tricky to find at the back of the shopping center.
After spending the morning bear proofing the cabin and resetting the trip wires I was ready for some hot dogs before heading back to Napa. The Famous Blue Dog Restaurant is the place to go, probably the best dogs this side of Westminister.
5 stars all day long. ☆☆☆☆☆
This place is a joke. The employees are extremely rude the cooks don’t know how to make pizzas. Will never come back

This place rocks. I love the atmosphere and I love the live music. I wish they had the football game playing during the playoffs. The pizza has changed over the years. I feel like when they first opened up the pizza was much better than it is today.
The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
