What fun! Who doesn't love Blue Bell Ice Cream? But this visit to the Creamery was a total delight. The museum was very interesting with bits of history and pieces of old equipment. Lots of fun places to take pictures, especially if you're visiting with children. The ice cream and gift shop was clean and well equipped with tables and chairs as well as seats at the bar along the wall. Even though there were lots of people, service was friendly and quick. I'm so glad we made this stop on our way back to Albany.

Always a nice place to go for a short day trip. Nice self guided tour, both at the visitor center and the observation deck. The history of Blue Bell was done with just enough information to hold interest and not overwhelm the visitor with all of the facts. The staff was friendly and everything was pristine. I loved visiting the gift shop and ice cream parlor. There are limited flavors sold for $1.00/cup. There are also no videos or photos allowed when touring the observation deck.

Drove over 3 hours from Fort Worth Texas to experience the making of Blue Bell Ice cream. The observation deck was interesting. However, without the 2 employees informing guests like myself we would have no clue what was happening from station to station. To bad there wasn't a longer tour like the Coors Brewery Plant tour. My family loved tasting different varieties (flavors) of ice cream at low prices. The gift shop was great too. Lower prices than I expected. The museum and visitor center is definitely worth looking at.

We enjoyed our visit here. It's a nice stop anytime one visits Brenham, Texas. You get to experience a piece of Texas history. The ice cream scoops are only $1 and they have flavors you won't find anywhere else. They also provide free old style bluebell paper hats as a souvenir. If you are visiting, check out the Lavender farm nearby as well. They have a lot of wonderful baked goods and a lovely lemonade.

4 stars for the Visitor Center and 5 stars for the Observation Deck and General Store (so 5, it is)! Not obvious from Google Maps, but two different locations with three stops, here. Please, note, this is essentially a free stop and is not long and involved like many other factory tours or product museums. Total stop of 60-90 minutes. The Visitor Center (left entrance as you look at the buildings) tells the story of Brenham Creamery Company (est. 1907) and E.F. Kruse, who took over the company and-with his sons-grew it into the Blue Bell Creameries that so many crave around the world today! The visitor center is small and mostly informational posters with a handful of company antiques (e.g., a buggy, a car, time card clock, and a freezer). We read almost every single word and took time for family photos, but we only spent about 20 minutes there. The adjacent Observation Deck and General Store are the real attractions, but it's easier to appreciate the company if you take the time to read up on it first. If you choose to do that online, just stop here for a few quick scrapbook photos. The real attraction for us was the entrance on the right side where you find the Observation Deck and General Store on the second floor (with an elevator). Watch some of the factory floor mixing, filling, and packaging process as the employees and machines work in harmony to prepare the creamy goodness for all to enjoy. We happened to be there the day they were packaging half-gallons of Cookies 'n' Cream and cups of Birthday Cake. I think we spent longer watching everything going on there, then we did in the visitor center. But as most people seem to appreciate in their reviews, the pot of gold at the end of this rainbow happens to cost $1 a scoop... and with about a dozen flavors to try, there is probably something for everyone (even sherbet, if lactose isn't your thing). Perfectly reasonable price for a little scoop of heaven. Oh, yeah, the store also has other souvenirs and bric-a-brac reflective of the ice cream brand and Central Texas, but I let my wife do most of the looking around there while I finished off the ice cream... priorities!

If you are ever in the Brenham, stop by the Blue Bell Creameries. For $1 you get a large scoop of ice cream. Some flavors are not sold in stores. The have a nice gift shop, and a museum on the history of Blue Bell.

Had amazing food! Tiramisu is 100% recommended apart from the pasta of course.

Historic, iconic ice cream brand started in Brenham, TX still only available in what I might call a very extended Southeast. There is a free self guided tour of the creamery. Can't actually go in, because of health and safety co.cerns, but there is an observation area with an employee to answer questions. (I had lots: they run one shift, 815 employees, can do 15 flavors in a day, 50k gallons a hour (I think?), cows within a couple hundred miles and takes about 50k head on dairy cows to supply). There's an interesting little museum and a fountain area that will sell you a GENEROUS scoop of ice cream for $1! No tax. A little sculpture garden and photo taking opportunities.
