I was here for a business meeting. The entire staff and establishment was amazingly accommodating, allowing us time and access to setup early and providing us with some odds and ends we forgot. The banquet room was exquisite, amazingly photogenic and a great surrounding for our staff to come together. The food and service were fabulous. Banquet manager Michael Herman was a consummate professional and his entire staff was personable and helpful. I will recommend to our executive team that we come back here in the future.

High praise goes out to banquet manager, Michael Herman, and his outstanding staff at the breakfast buffet at the Marriott in Normal. My family and I received exemplary service; the workers were prompt, courteous, and highly attentive to our needs. I will spread the word amongst my friends about the our joyful visit there. Two thumbs up! If I had extra thumbs, I’d raise them, too!🙂

The staff at the hotel is expectionally friendly. One of the front desk clerk stayed on the phone to direct me to the hotel because of the closed streets. The servers at the banquet was always at the table to ask if there were any needs or to clear the table. The banquet manager, Herman was very knowledgeable and instrumental in getting my vegetarian meal. It was not the traditional pasta plate. It was a pleasure to have a conversation with him.

Very nice hotel in a great location. I was here for a conference for a week. I had a very pleasant experience with restaurant staff. Michael made my experience and stay memorable. I am new to Chicago area. He and staff always are welcoming and assisted with my choice of breakfast and sightseeing options in Chicago area. I highly recommend this hotel.

The customer services provided throughout the three day conference was terrific. Staff was very attentive and friendly. I’m sure the IARF Team appreciated the support from day one as well. Thank you for a great location fir our conference.

We had a fantastic stay at Marriott-Normal,IL, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the incredible service we received from Almond and Mia. From the moment we arrived, they were both incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to accommodate our large family, especially at breakfast. They arranged for us to have a private room, which was a lifesaver with all the little ones! It made our mornings much more relaxing and enjoyable. Almond and Mia's attentiveness and positive attitudes made a real difference in our stay. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality! We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay with exceptional service.

We had a tremendous experience. MIA Micheal and his staff from the front desk, bar, and especially the breakfast service was first class. I will definitely stay here when in town. We travel quite a bit and stay at Marriott when possible.They do it like it should be done here.

I feel bad about rating this location down. We were only here for one night and could tell immediately that they had staffing issues. We used valet service and didn't get a ticket for the truck? (Apparently a new person running valet) We got in the room and it wasn't cleaned well and didn't have any garbage cans. The carpet was stiff and sticky by the chair and needed a good washing that should have been taken care of. We learned the next day that a new firm was supplying the maids and they were short staffed. Breakfast the next morning was marginally OK. The oatmeal was a pot of congealed glue and there were no servings spoons for any of the oatmeal extras - brown sugar, raisins, etc. The coffee had not been filled. There was no butter or syrup for the French toast. The eggs, bacon, and potatoes were fine. There was only one server in the dining room and she was very nice and did her very best with no help in bad circumstances. Again, we found out there were staffing issues here too. On top of this, the ladies room was out of service. The other ladies room had working toilets but not sinks. 🫤 The shining light in this entire stay was Deb. She was on the front desk when we checked out. She was friendly, personable, and professional. We expressed our concerns about the property and she was understanding but remained a wonderful Marriott champion.
