Difficult (^^) but enjoyable hike. Plan on 3 hour round trip from the Open Space Blodgett Trail Head. Trail does get confusing at times. Wind was blowing 50 MPH at the summit.
There are many well market trails, both wooded and open fields. There are great views in all directions. During my two hour hike I did not see another hiker.
An incredible place which can be as difficult a hike as you'd like it to be, depending on how far you go. It's so peaceful and not too crowded, especially further in. I highly recommend hiking to the summit, it's such an amazing view! I can't wait to come back!
Loved going here! This place has great trails to go walking and exploring on. There is plenty of directions to go, with plenty of things to see. I went on a Sunday in the afternoon and it wasn't even busy, there was parking available, but the parking lot is small with only about 10 spaces, the rest of the parking is on the street.
No switchbacks. Lots of loose gravel, and pretty steep. Loved the view from Blodgett though, and was able to do the hike in a half day.
Great park with tons of trails to choose from. If you like the forest biome, this park is perfect for you. The Hummingbird Trail leads to Pike National Forest and also to Blodgett Peak. There are several hammocking opportunities near the official end of the Hummingbird trail and on the Red Squirrel trail. Great views of north COS and the high plains. Plenty of street parking. Overall I didn’t pass many people on the trails. The forest is very serene. Highly recommend this park for a quick weekend hike.
A good variety of trails with different skill levels. Nicely shaded in the spring and summer months and many wildflowers to enjoy. North Blodgett loop to the Hummingbird trail is my personal favorite. Parking situation isn't great for how popular it's becoming but street parking is available before 10pm.
First time here. Seemed like a nice open space on the lower sections and although extremely steep and most likely slippery regardless of the season (it's either scree or ice) the trail is really nice through the Forrest. You can also link up with other trails and do more than Blodgett peak.

My bride and I enjoyed our stay immensely. It took a lot to coordinate a wedding and therefore didnât get to spend as much time as we wanted to at Chateaux as we wanted but the evenings were filled with romance due to the ambiance of the house. Th
