I hardly leave reviews but in this case I had to share and agree with others giving poor reviews on the food. My $17 "Small" build-your-own salad was flavorless and over-priced. When I questioned the price the girl behind the counter was snarky about how many toppings I added. She asked if I wanted a bag and I said yes, she then threw my salad up on the counter. 1-star for terrible service, flavorless mushy food drowned in tasteless dressing. Could have went next door to Noco for a delicious lunch for the same price.
I eat here about twice a month and they have nice fresh ingredients, consistent salads and quick service. It’s a little pricey, but worth it to get a quick healthy lunch.
Fast service, easy access to Fulton, Cascade, and I-96. The ingredients were fresh (make your own healthy wrap or salad) the tables were clean, the food was ready quickly, tasted good, and was fairly priced. When I was done eating I felt full, but not the uncomfortable, tight kind of full. Just pleasantly full. I'm not sure what else I could have asked for in a restaurant visit. Average menu item price is between $6 and $9.
If you enjoy a cold sterile environment, dry chewy chicken, bland food, wraps full of lettuce and workers that act like they don't even want to be there, then this is the place for you! I used to love Bliss and Vinegar years ago, and then I'm sure Covid times had an affect on their restaurant, however this place has gone completely downhill. They used to have a cooler full of treats and drinks they made they and purchased, now it's shut off and empty. They used to offer beverages and flavored waters in their glass dispenser on the counter, now it's warm water that's been sitting there all day. The quality of food used to be great. Now the chicken is so dry it was like eating chewy celery. I purchase the "Bruce-Rito" and was surprised to see it in an overly processed white tortilla when they pride themselves on being a healthy restaurant. I asked for the chipotle ranch dressing on the side which was like water, so I couldn't really use it. After a couple bites I wasn't getting much besides spinach, and when I opened it up that's basically what I got: a burrito full of spinach. Totally not worth the $10; I'll never be back. Aside from that, the girl that took my order and made my food barely wanted to talk to me and was pretty unfriendly, and the girl that rang me up wasn’t much better. I truly hope they can turn things around otherwise I'm not sure how they'll be able to stay in business.
I’ve visited twice now, the second time to give the place a second chance because I get it, everyone is entitled to a bad day. Everything my daughter and I ordered for our salads was very fresh, but the dressings we tried (each of us tried something different both visits) was a little lacking in flavor. The biggest problem was the service. During both visits we felt as though we were inconveniencing the staff by being there. After the first visit, which was admittedly slightly busy (there were 2 costumers eating at tables and 3 in line behind us) I thought maybe the staff was simply overwhelmed, so we returned yesterday in the late afternoon to try again (only one customer eating in the dining area this time)… turns out the poor service wasn’t a fluke, which is a shame because we enjoy supporting local businesses. I think from now on we will stick to Forest Hills Foods’ salad bar.
This place is amazingly DELICIOUS. You can build your salads and wraps, and they also have soups. Offers a huge selection of fresh vegetables (majority are Organic) and hormones & antibiotics free beef and chicken. All the dressings are made from scratch! Natural with no preservatives! Gluten Free! Although I LOVE vinegar, every dressing has vinegar in it which, does not go with some salads & wraps, for example, the Creamy Caesar dressing would be great without the hint of vinegar...sorry but, it ruins the entire taste of the caesar dressing. SUGGESTION: offer some dressings without the vinegar despite the vinegar concept of your business.
A great place to grab a lunch or dinner salad. You decide on everything from the protein, vegetables, lettuce type & dressing. It's expertly made right in front of you. Love this place. Eat in or take home to enjoy.
My experience was average- online ordering and curbside pickup was great! But the Cobb Salad was lackluster- the chicken had the taste of canned chicken. All canned meats taste like tuna to me so it was a little off putting. The salad could also use a bit more egg and bacon. I would try again because of so many rave reviews, but I’ll definitely try a different protein next time.
