Best place to find large whole shells 🐚! The parking lot was closed so park at Turner beach and walk over the bridge. It’s worth it! Also, if you like to fish, this bridge is the place to catch bull sharks! My son and husband caught one was 7ft and the other 6ft. Best time ever.
"Hell of a day at sea, sir!" Great shelling. Saw beautiful birds. We were graced with a dolphin show too. #blessed
Great for fishing and a more intimate/less crowded beach experience. Don’t forget bug spray, they can get bad! If you are there to fish, I’d recommend wearing long sleeves and pants to avoid the bugs.
We've gone shelling at Blind Pass Beach and Turner Beach pre-Ian. This was our first time back. We tried to time our visit with low tide, so my son was able to get pretty far out. However, we had our best luck digging in the sand closer to the bridge. And guess what we found! Two Junonia shell fragments - probably the closest we'll ever get to finding one of these shells, so we were geeked up for a bit. We had no issues parking when we went on a Monday afternoon. We did park at Blind Pass and then drove back over to Turner to use the showers before heading to Doc Ford's for some dinner. As others have said, watch out for the current in Blind Pass.
Trust me when I say go EARLY! Parking is very hard to find, and traffic is ridiculous, but so worth it. Blind pass beach is beautiful and if you swim out to the sandbar, you will find shells galore! Found sand dollars, nautilus shells and so much more! Not crowded at all! Spent an entire day here.
Very nice wide clean beach. But there's signs for no swimming because of strong currents. Looks like a good place for fishing, sun bathing, or beach volleyball.
Absolutely a must see in Captiva! The beach is full of shells just waiting for their new home! Beautiful clear waters! Parking is super difficult as there is only a small parking area so get there super early to secure a spot. Spend hours searching for the perfect shell to take home. Super relaxed beach area that will make hours feel like minutes!
Blind Pass is always in a state of constant change. Strong rip currents are the norm. Great place to fish and shell. Convenient parking on both the North and South sides of the beach. Don’t forget to pay to park. A great place to catch the full sunset

What to say about Sanibel Island Northern Beach Park? What a great park for picture taking!! Just go in between the strip of beach in between the Lighthouse and the pier and take a panoramic photo to frame at home all by yourself. The parking is les
This is a great beach that is close to everything. Do come early, even with great parking a few blocks away, it can get filled up. Superb facilities, restrooms, shower, picnic areas and a great beach. Donât forget to pay the machine for parking,
This is our second time staying here and both times it was great. Only the second time there was construction in the neighboring cottage and it was noisy. Our dog was very sick and on medication. We could not leave her alone because of the noise t
We had a wonderful stay. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The a/c worked great. The king size bed may need updating, it gave me the feeling of rolling in to the center but I was able to get use to it. There were some pool repairs hap
I have been going to Sanibel Cottages for the past 30 years. Great private beach access, and amazing private pool. It has more of the personal condo feel, rather than a resort atmosphere. We love it to cook and hang out with friends and family. Becau
At their pond is where we finally saw a couple young alligator, plus a turtle, a sleepy tree frog, and big birds. Good selection of garden plants. Looks like a nice place for an event, wedding, or reception.
The island is so damaged from Ian. There was not much wildlife to see. Some of the trails are still closed. There is new growth with some of the plants. Employees were very friendly. The gift shop was very nice and reasonably priced. I'm sure this ar
This beach had top-tier facilities with bathrooms, changing rooms, and outdoor showers and taps to wash your feet! The parking is your standard 5/hr with lots of parking space at the entrance. The only downside is that there is a little bit of a walk
Holly took me out for my birthday tonight and it was amazing. Best meal I have had in years. Absolutely superb, both owners simply delightful and very friendly. I will definitely go back again very soon.
They think of everything you might need here! They have bikes, beach chairs, towels (for a deposit they give back to you), games, grills, a pool, screened in porches, a great view, are close to the beach, and great service. They also provide laundry

We had a wonderful 3-night stay in the Tropical Paradise room. This motel is old and a bit dated, bare bones and no frills. But it had pretty much everything we needed! The most important thing was that it was a short walk to the beach, and comfor
