BLEU Beach Resort - Featured Reviews (376)
I wanted to love this place, I really truly did. The website and reviews made it sound ideal: a lovely,, clean, recently redone motel in a great location with friendly service. We looked carefully at the pictures—if you get the oceanfront cottage, the door opens right to the sand and waves. Excellent. One of the reviews in this website even was titled something like “Great Quiet Little Place.” Perfect, just what we wanted. We did call ahead to see if they had any ideas for New Year’s Eve—they didn’t. Maybe a restaurant in town? They couldn’t say—there’s not much going on in that part of the beach, apparently. ||So, why the one-star review? In short: the noise. We are not picky travelers and are OK with bumps in the road; a little bit of the unexpected makes travel interesting, right? But this was a full-on nightmare—our kids cried, sleep was fleeting, and we left after one night, nerves frayed. ||We reserved three rooms, including the two oceanfront cottages. What the pictures do not show you is that the “beach bar” is immediately in front of the oceanfront cottages (which are actually just rooms, they are not separate structures). There are tables directly between the rooms and the beach, and a bar slightly to the left. This is not really a beach bar—it is a very popular, very busy restaurant. When we checked in, there was a menu and reservation sheet for a New Year’s Eve party—so I guess they changed their mind on that. ||Anyway, we unpacked and headed to the pool, which is adjacent to the parking lot. We started to watch how the restaurant was filling up—surely we would not be sleeping with 50 people eating and drinking just a few feet away, right? And then also, all of the rooms—not just the oceanfront ones—are on a sidewalk that is also a runway for customers and employees of the restaurant. The kitchen is across the road, so there are food and beverage carts clattering back and forth continuously. If you come or go from your room, you will bump into someone coming or going from the restaurant, every time. We tried to just enjoy the pool and accept it. But then it got worse. They had a band. ||While there is a small line of potted plants that marks the entry for the oceanfront cottage, the band moved these plants as they unpacked their speakers, putting extra bags literally up against the wall to our room. It was a 5 piece band with multiple singers—they covered everything from classic rock to top 40. How loud was it? Well, while in our rooms, the liquid in our cups vibrated. I could not hear my husband, who was sitting directly next to me on the small couch. It was louder than Bourbon Street. It was like trying to chill out with a spin class happening three steps away. The band did end at 9:30 pm and we were relieved. Unfortunately, however, the bar then immediately turned on the regular music (which was only a hair less loud) and so we got blasted by studio tracks instead of live covers. ||After housekeeping banged on the door at 8:30 the next morning (which was not super appreciated), we talked to the front desk. The manager informed us that there would only be three hours of steel-drum calypso music that day and seemed puzzled as to why we wouldn’t enjoy that. Now, I will say that the entire staff was very friendly. And I don’t hold it against them that they have an amazing spot for nightlife on the beach—seems like a great business model. But they should tell you ahead of time what you’re getting into. They ended up giving a refund for one room that they were able to rent out after we left, but said they would not refund the others “just because we didn’t like the music” (implying that if they had chosen some other genre, it would have been OK). ||In sum, this would be a perfect place if you have just turned 21 or are throwing a bachelor party and would like to drink and dance the night away. When you’re ready to be done for the evening, you could just stand up, stumble twice, and be in bed. If, however, you have kids, elderly family members, or value relaxation, sleep, or privacy, this is not the place for you.
This place was great. I don’t know where to start. The room was clean and spacious. The tiki bar and staff were amazing. The beach access was perfect. The pool was clean. The staff…. All the staff… were exceptional. They were happy and helped create a great vibe. I plan to stay here again. Thank you Sadiq and everyone else that works at the blue beach resort. We all loved our stay here
We had a wonderful experience at the Bleu Beach!! Our room was perfect, the water pressure in the shower was AMAZING! We loved the fact that we could walk out of our room and within steps we could have food and drinks right next to the ocean. The Tiki bar is so cute and the variety of seating made it so comfortable to hang out. We spent an evening around the fire pit, and had delicious food and drinks. The pool is gorgeous, but the fact that the ocean was steps away, made it so perfect for our getaway. We will definitely return for many visits, I hope we have a chance to book the ocean front room. Thank you for everything!
My friend and I spent three days at this lovely gem. The rooms were small, but clean and designed beautifully. The location was perfect. Sunrises were spectacular. I live in Orlando and it is refreshing that this is not a super-prized, over hyped place. It was a bit pricey but worth it. The staff, Amy, Brett, Amanda, Robin, were delightful. Thank you for a wonderful time. I will definitely be back.
Love this not-so hidden Gem in Indialantic. We came for the drinks and food beachside and the view and service did not disappoint. The resort is very well laid out and offers guests of both hotel and restaurant the best views around. Food was amazing. Try the smash burger and the Virgin Frozen Mango smoothie. We are local and this will be one of our spots from now on. One note...if parking is full, you can pay at Nance park by the hour.
We were gifted from a friend an ocean front room for New Years Eve. It was a blast. This little family owned resort is a quirky little treasure in Indialantic with the only beachfront dining in the south Brevard area. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great staycation location!
I was amazed how chill this little place was. It has the customer service of a Disney resort but is small enough to feel like the place was made for you. Pool, beach bar and restaurant, rooms, all do the trick. Sadiq even gave me a call when I was late to check in to make sure I was doing ok. Rooms are small but cozy, super clean and really great design. I'll take this one personally over any big chain any day.
DO NOT RENT HERE!! NOT AS ADVERTISED! |This has been one of the worst customer service experiences. I booked a room based upon the photos supplied by your website showing the room being OCEANFRONT, and having the patio of the room steps away from the beach. Once I arrived at the facility and was given my room number much to my surprise the room is in fact NOT oceanfront but poolside and the patio is nowhere near comparable to the photos. I voiced my dissatisfaction with the front staff member who stated “ yea, those pictures online are a combination of two rooms but I wish we had separate photos for the room.” I then explained to her that because I was led to believe I was staying in a completely different room compared to what I am being given I no longer would like to continue my reservation as that was false advertising. She then stated I would need to speak to the manager, once I was able to speak to the manager Sarah, she began to give me an attitude saying it’s not the company's fault the photos are different and the window points to the ocean so it should be good enough. I explained to Sarah, that I am disappointed and would like a refund as I am not going to check in because I am being misled by the website. Sarah states “We don’t give refunds so you’ll just have to get a different hotel room or stay here”. I mentioned possibly meeting in the middle and splitting the cost so I’m not out the complete 356$. She says nope no refunds. |||This review is to help other customers from making the same mistake I did with my family. other customers to prevent someone else from being misled. ||I absolutely would not recommend this hotel to anyone, first impressions are that the owner took a cheap motel 6 added some new bedding and a new name. ||I have filed a dispute with my credit card company under false advertising charges.||
